Whenever I open this site I have to choose to allow adobe flash player to run to be able to read content. My computer tells me that the player will no longer be supported after December 2020. Is there a fix for this?

I don't know much about the subject other than I have received several messages over the past couple of months that it is being phased out. The latest was from the weather bureau saying that they are phasing out use of it and would like me to use what they are calling their "standard version" radar loop. My wife is a science education specialist that uses lots of tech and keeps up with what is going on. She says that Adobe Flash has caused lots of problems and has some vunerability to hacking. The folks that are deep into tech apparently think that it is too flawed to salvage.

I get the same message.

I just Googled it. Apparently it will be dead by the end of the year.

I used to work with flash, it has inherent security issues that are easily exploitable. They've been trying to phase it out for html5 for years.

I don't have it installed, haven't for years. I don't notice. On the odd occasion I run into a .swf video, VLC works great.

I use windows 10. I have tried using different browsers but all require the adobe player. I was hoping to get ahead of the problem. Some of my best reading every day is here.

I use windows 10 and Google CHROME and I am not getting any warnings. ? I just checked my system, and Flash Player is inherently installed with Google Chrome, but not enabled. So my system seems to not need it? it says it's status is DISABLED. Hopefully someone will come along and help you out.
