This is all copied over from the Stratford Sportsman's Club Facebook page, just passing the info along. I'll do my best to answer any questions if there are any, or can get you in reach with Jason or Tyler for more info. Hopefully we'll have a great turnout as usual.

Ladies and Gents its time to get prepped for the Ok State Longbow Shoot that being said members we will be having a work day the Saturday before the shoot at 8 am we are aware that’s July 4th and the more members that help will make it quick and easy so we can all go enjoy the 4th with family.

**-The Stratford Sportsman’s Club will be Hosting the Oklahoma State Longbow Championships. July 11-12th. @ The Stratford Sportsman’s Club. Located @ Longmire Lake east of Paul’s Valley. There will be four classes in the men’s and women’s division. In the men’s and women’s classes you will have to shoot in three of the four classes to qualify for the all round buckle .There will also be a senior class from 60yrs to 69yrs. There will be a super senior class 70yrs and above. There will be a youth class 12yrs to 16 yrs. (Cubs will shoot for free!) We will be having a fish fry for all participants on Saturday and homemade ice cream on Sunday . All vendors are welcome @ no charge! There will be numerous door prizes given away and a buckle presentation on Sunday afternoon. We will have a match stick competition with the winner getting half the pot. We are also adding a black stake which any archer can participate in however the shots will be trashy, long and a little of both combined. It will be $10 per round and multiple rounds can be shot. 50% goes to club and 50% to the highest score. We are going to have two courses set up to shoot like last year. The four classes will be men’s and women’s Longbow (one piece) wood arrows only. Longbow open (any Longbow any arrow). Self bow class(wood arrows) and a Composite class(wood arrows) .The youth will be the same as the senior/ super senior class and multiple rounds can be shot. There will be at least three people required to shoot each round with two scoring. Two score cards per person per round. A self bow can shoot in any class. A composite bow can not shoot the self bow class but can shoot the other classes. The long bow wood arrow class can shoot in the long bow open class but not the self bow or composite classes. The long bow open can only shoot in the open class. The first round shot will be 15$ all rounds after 10$. Fun rounds 10$. Note-Anyone wishing to bring their favorite dish to the fish fry is more than welcome and will be very much appreciated!

We will be allowing binoculars for this shoot. Only rule to them is they CAN NOT be used from the shooting stake. We look forward to seeing everyone and safe travels. If you have any questions please contact Tyler Sprabery or Jason Scott.

I plan on being there Sunday. I'll be the handsome one. No wait, I'll be the one searching in the weeds for my arrows.

Holy cow, a "Super Senior" now. Seems like just yesterday I was only an old man.

I shot with a "Super Senior" during one round this weekend. He is 70 years old and gets around like most guys half his age. Since I am only 65 for another week or so, I was just in the "Senior" class.

Those Oklahoma boys and girls put on a fantastic shoot. I believe they had five courses. Saturday afternoon they had a fish fry with every kind of side dish you could think of. The dinner was absolutely great. Great facility. They worked hard on getting the targets up and mowing the area around their pavilion and parking area.

The shots on the range were will within stickbow range but some were pretty challenging.

Great job folks!

This was my first time to shoot there so I cannot compare what the turnout was to past years. In my opinion it was really a nice turnout.
