Probably so but may or may not shoot. Buy some gas there. Eat a meal at one of the restaurants around Wellsboro, or other small town and leave a nice tip. Those of you who love turkey and all the fixins, put Fry's Turkey Ranch in Steam Valley, Pa., on your GPS. They fix turkey dinners with all the gozintos every day of the year and they are fantastic. It's about 23 miles from Morris.

Planning on getting there at least one day. Not sure if I'm staying over or not.

If they schedule it as a 4-day shoot like the first STAR event this summer and the weather cooperates, our group of five traditional bowhunters will attend for the entire event.

So far from their web site:

What a great weekend here for STAR. We loved seeing you all, and getting a chance to get caught up with all the crazy stories from the past year.

We are definitely doing another shoot here, over ETAR weekend July 23-26, 2020. More details to come. We want to be clear this will not be another ETAR, at Sawmill, because just logistically to make that transition in such a short time, really does ETAR a disservice. However we have had an overwhelming response to the possibility of having another traditional shoot here at Sawmill, so we will definitely start making plans that way. We will be inviting dealers to the shoot, so if you are a dealer and would like to come, please message us, to get on the list.

As we begin to make plans we will update w/ more information. We will see everyone back in July!

From: pleco

I will be there as a vendor. Hoe to see you all and stop and say hello.

From: Maytagman66

Hikers recommended for the mountain corse ... >>>————————>

From: Witherstick
Date: 06-Jul-20

The mountain course isn't terribly tough but not easy either. There are lifts but are not used for the shoots. By comparison, it isnt nearly as steep or far up as Denton. If they use the same course layout, 3 of the 5 courses are flat. Of the other 2, one is all the way tonthe top and the other only halfway up.

From: Andy Man
Date: 06-Jul-20

mountain course not bad at all - just go slow and early before gets hot if bad health might stick with the flatter courses- not near as hard walking as some of the up courses at Denton

From: Desperado

I will be there to shop and visit Saturday and to sing & give the message at the Sunday morning church service as I do each year, Looking forward to it !!!!!! Gen 27:3 Des

How is the onsite camping there! Thanks TLM

From: Lenny
Date: 07-Jul-20

What vendors are going to be there?

From: Wayne Boone
Date: 07-Jul-20

On-site camping is primitive and first come basis. We will be camping at Twin Streams campground 5 miles away. Full hook ups and you can reserve them.

From: The Lost Mohican
Date: 07-Jul-20

Wayne, Thanks Twin Streams I'm familiar with. It is right across the street from Pierces General store. The surrounding area is "Nesmuk" country. Beautiful! TLM

Does anyone know how far this is from the ETAR site ?

From: robwallace7
Date: 07-Jul-20

Jerry,

About an hour in an east/southeast direction.

From: wpaben
Date: 07-Jul-20

I don't know where your traveling from. I live in west PA. interestingly I can get to Sawmill almost an hour less than going to Etar. Mainly because I can travel interstate 80 for most of the way. Don't have to slow down through numerous little towns. wpab

Sawmill is easy to find just north of Williamsport pa you can go up rt15 and cross over to rt287 or just take 287 all the way.

Petticote junction campground isn't to far from sawmill. Its down in Cedar run, they get booked so not sure what's available. I layed the block on the new bath houses this past fall. Its a nice ride from cedar run. For those that are adventurous you can go up 414 to Blackwell you will cross the pine cr then a sharp turn over Babbs creek. Soon as you cross Babb creek watch for a dirt rd on your right, Big run rd. Takes you up through the mts and brings you out Up on the rd sawmill is along. When you get to the T turn left sawmill is down the road a bit.

No cell service so if you break down, your on your own. A little service sometimes in Blackwell. But absolutely none going up Big run. And it is NOT paved in anyway shape or form..lol

Also right now in the morning you will get behind dump trucks heading up 287 slow, slow slow...Hawbakers must be working on the road somewhere, and the gas line guys are also running it.

Cell phones are about worthless most places around there, just so you know. Some folks are concerned about that.

Have a great time, funny I have never been to the bow thing at sawmill, drive past it all the time...but never seem to have the time to stop.

Thanks for the information, I think I'm going to try and make the shoot one of the days I'm there, but.
