Never seen one in person but I have always liked the looks of them over the bob lee’s and other similar takedowns.
What are yalls thought on them?
I was told the shoot great but are very unrefined.

Very good shooting bows. I have had several and still have a LH with a light weight set of limbs. Unrefined? The ones I have had, had good finishes. Blocky is a better description in my opinion. Mainly where the limbs attach. The more you shoot them the better they look.

I would agree they shoot great, but I disagree that they are unrefined. I bought a used one that I liked a lot. It was pretty much the same specs as the Schafer I love, so I gave it to my little brother. Then I kinda regretted not having it and happened to see an anniversary bow for sale at RMS Gear and happened to be in the Denver area so I shot it and bought it immediately. Glad I did

Great bows in my opinion. The grip is what done folk consider to be blocky and unrefined. I personally like the grip and I don't have big hands.

One of the best shooting recurves I own. They point really well and the speed is quite decent for a conventional recurve. The grip seems to be a polarizing factor for some of the folks. But personally I really like it. It'll suite you well if you prefer fuller grips. I also like the Asbell grip on my Black Widow.
About them being "unrefined" - finish and build wise they are as good as any high end custom bows out there. They are pretty forward design wise too. They do offer some pretty wood and phenolic combos as well.

Good shooting bows but a little too blocky for me too for my liking. I had a couple that I bought and sold. They retained used values when I sold them just lost on shipping is all. I had skinny strings on them. One was skinned a nice
Can't compare Bob lees with Predators at all.

Been shooing my Predator Hunter for 10+ years now. Bubbinga riser, black limbs, 60"AMO, 46@28". I total agree with TradToTheBone: Great bow, great shooter, shoots where you point, shoots more like a 50lb bow. As for the grip, I have medium sized hands and this bow fits perfectly in my hand. Over the years 3 of my shooting buddies bought Predators after shooting my bow!

I really like mine a lot. I am more of a longbow/selfbow guy, but have always wanted a takedown recurve, so I took a chance on a Predator when it turned up here in the classifieds. It is a bit blocky, but no worse than the Martin Hunter I used to have. The Predator does not seem to stack at all and is super easy to shoot for the draw weight. If you like their looks, you will probably like the way they feel too.

I meshed with the grip after a few sessions and really enjoyed shooting it after that. Not the quietest but not hard to get quiet either. They point very instinctively. Support involves a phone call as the last time I looked the website had not been updated in a couple of years. The only disappointing thing I have noticed is not performance but depreciation and their inability to hold their value when compared to initial cost, however , that seems to be a common theme with most of archery equipment.
