Greetings...I sing and give the message Sunday morning at the church service at the ETAR each year. Mike & Joyce (husband & wife) run the show. I talked to Joyce yesterday, She called me and wanted to know If I would be there if the event was held. I said absolutely. She said a decision was not yet made but she is cautiously optimistic and hoping for an OK with of course restrictions for camping, social distancing, attendance etc. but of course she does not know what the future holds. She told me the vendors are very supportive. On a more somber note, 2 weeks ago Mike fell and broke 3 bones in his pelvis and a hip. This has also caused paralysis of his intestines. He has had tremendous pain and Joyce has been with him every day in the hospital. Those of you who know Mike know he is a tough rascal and I encourage you to put Mike and Joyce in your prayers. Perhaps some of you know more than I about the ETAR situation but I am simply sharing what I learned. As always, shoot straight & be safe !! Des

Prayers being kept for Mike and family here. He is as tough as anyone I know, and I've known him since the mid 80's. Knowing that aspect of him, it will take more than some broken bones to keep him on the sideline. That darn intestinal paralysis is more of an issue. Praying that it will abate as his body heals.

Prayers sent. As much as I love this event I'm thinking maybe this might be a good year for them to skip it with all that is going on and with Mikes accident. But I would sure miss my NJ buddies.

Another question I have is if the crowd size is reduced how will people know it's full? People could drive a long way and be turned away. JW

Prayers for a speedy recovery for Mike. This would be as good a year as there ever was for him to take an ETAR break.

I really don’t know how they could control crowd size. Like was said above, people call me from a long ways away and would be pretty irate if they were turned away. Seems like an all or nothing event.

The state government will make the call. If they say it's full it is full. All others will be turned away. . And you think people went early before go get a spot.

If they enforce the 250 large gathering max, the vendors will be pretty bored.

Why don't you just give it a few weeks and see what happens? No one knows right now...no one. We are still a month and 3 weeks out. Patience.

My thinking that way also George, I have a spot reserved in the Potter County family campground and I'm not canceling it, if the shoot doesn't happen I'm still paying for the spot.

Get well soon Mike. I encouraged the crew from Hawkeye to keep thier reservations at Potter County Family Campground even if the shoot doesn't go just to support the local economy. We thought about a big cookout Saturday night. Please consider.

I saw on the Pa Governor's site that they were having the York State Fair so it looks like DH will be a go. Just no rides at the fair. They said it is one thing to have people spread out but another to have them sitting on top of each other. May not allow the vendor tents but I thing they will allow the shoot if they have the fair.

Talked to Mike yesterday he is home now and doing well but can not set up yet because it's to painfull. He told me he did not think he would be at SAW unless the pain while setting up goes away. Just wanted to let you guys know. Widow
