Thanks folks! Batman finds out about this stuff, as he asks, lol! I'll let my mom know she received prayers from the Wall. She'll like hearing that. She told the doctor she had no idea why she was driven up to the hospital, as she felt fine, lol! Anyway, she's had a bad 10 days or so. We didn't want to take her to the hospital, due to her advanced age and a huge spike in COVID cases here. She's supposed to be released today.

Just an update they discovered her AFIB meds stopped working. That's what caused all the trouble. They're trying new ones, as she's too old for a pace-maker. She has to stay up there another night but should eventually get back home. At 4PM, the fat cat is still sitting by her chair and tray, waiting for food, lol!

1 hope friskys mom gets better and comes home soon.

2 Batman is a saint.

3. After reading all the BS that goes back and forth between Frisky and Ryman on this site, then reading Rymans post here, I almost got tears in my eyes.

Great to hear that Mom is ok. Prayers have been answered. I want to point out what a great son I think you are. From: Frisky

From: Babysaph

Ur too much Frisky reminds me of me

From: Backcountry
Date: 03-Jun-20

i would venture to say that Frisky Joe is a much better son than he is an archer or bowhunter, but that would diminish the devotion he shows in taking care of his dear mother.

Fortunately, we have first hand accounts of Frisky Joe’s patient mom and home life from Pdid and Crookedstix who stopped by on a return trip from their Colorado elk hunt.

In their telling of the visit, Mrs. Frisk’s hospitality and congeniality more than made up for Frisky Joe’s lack of social skills as a host, but not for his marksmanship in his garage archery range.

From: Frisky
Date: 03-Jun-20

Just a note that my mom made it home this afternoon and is back in her chair, with two cats watching her closely, awaiting suppertime, lol! They take advantage of the elderly. If she didn't catch the virus at the hospital, I'm thinking she'll be close to normal in a week. This evening, I'll show her the thread, as I told her all about it. She said to tell everyone she appreciated all prayers and believe they helped her out, as shortly after I had her informed of the prayers, her new heart med began to work and the AFIB stopped. She thinks Batman's great, but I'll do my best to change this false perception.

Just a note that I couldn't read her the posts, as she suddenly got bad and had a horrible evening and late night. She seems to be asleep and comfortable now, and I think she'll start feeling better tomorrow, but we're getting a doctor involved early. We think they drugged her up, plus took too much fluid out of her. Hydration and sleep should make a difference, but I'm staying up tonight just in case she goes down hill.

Joe

From: arlone Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member

From: Frisky
Date: 04-Jun-20

I look at it this way- She's closing in on 101. Her AFIB medication is the same as an old friend of mine, age 58, just went on! Young people can have heart problems, so I think my mom has done pretty good! She'll still breathing, eating and not feeling as terrible as yesterday, so she can recover. She has severe fatigue though, brought on by fluid retention during hospitalization. If she worsens, we will take her to Rochester where they know something.

Joe

From: Backcountry
Date: 04-Jun-20

Frisky Joe—Thanks for thinking of us here enough to keep updating us on your mom’s condition. We know you’ve got a lot to deal with, and yet you make time to do this for us...

These are tough and uncertain times and it’s hard to deal with the emotional roller coaster of these situations. It was comforting to me when I went through a similar situation with my mom that others cared and offered emotional support.

Hang in there, buddy.

From: Frisky
Date: 04-Jun-20

Thanks Backcountry! Yes, I don't like the situation, but I got out and grabbed a bunch of goose feathers, just in time, as the city showed up with mowers! The geese just started dropping them. Something tells me it's not quite the end for my mom. I think tomorrow could be better or we'll get her to a good hospital but only to get fluid out of her and get her back home. People with heart failure start filling up with fluid and it really bothers them. Once we fix that, she'll show improvement. I'm glad Herbie remembered the June 4th molting date for me, as I would have forgotten it.

From: Backcountry

My dad wasn’t into archery at all, so I was surprised when he gave me a Pearson Jet for Christmas when I was 11. Then an Indian Savage a few years later. He only lived to be 75 but looked 95. That’s what cigarettes will do for ya.

Mom only outlived him by 11 years but could have passed for 65. She would have loved that motorcycle ride!

From: OldBeginner55
Date: 09-Jun-20

Haven’t heard from Frisky in a couple of days now. Very concerned about his mother. Say Joe, what is her first name? I would like to remember her to Christ on an even more personal level - rather than “Frisky’s Mother.” Godspeed to you both.

From: Frisky
Date: 09-Jun-20

OldBeginner55- Her name is Kathleen and she's a prayer warrior, so I know she appreciates prayers. I was keeping quiet as she progresses. I think she'll be fine, but everyone in the family has her on her death bed. One of my sisters quietly asked her if she was dying, forgetting my mom is half deaf. Her answer was "Yes." My poor sister turned pale, lol! I explained her mother always replies yes, if she isn't sure what was asked. I then took her blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation and all was perfect. People usually aren't dying with 98% oxygen saturation and other excellent vital signs. Crookedstix was telling me it takes his mom 2 weeks to start getting back to normal after being in the hospital. At getting close to 101, it's going to take at least that long for my mom to start feeling good.

Joe

I’m glad your Mom is on the mends and hope her recovery goes well. I will continue to pray for her and you as well. I am really proud of you and the way you are taking care of her. I am compelled to take back the bad things I’ve said about you here on the LW. However, I’m not retracting any comments about the trashy Bear TD.
