Excuse the poor image quality of the photos. Toelke Super D 2 pc longbow. 64" 45# @28" Limbs veneers are Juniper with some sap wood. Very pretty in my opinion.......not over the top just beautiful.
Some years ago I acquired a 2pc Whip with Juniper veneers. Its an awesome longbow and fell for the veneers quickly. A few years back a Super D longbow comes up for sale and it too had Juniper veneers, I bought it and man do I love shooting the Super D. Fast forward to a couple of months ago when I contacted Dan about having a 2pc Super D made with Juniper veneers. He said Juniper veneers are hard to come by because of so much scrap trying to get a few good veneers. Well, I received a call weeks later and Dan said he found a piece of lumber that provided some real nice Juniper veneers :) It arrived this morning.

Really nice Joe , I know what those juniper veneers look like in person, I have a 3pc Lynx and a curlew with juniper, Dan does a great job doesn’t He.

Beautiful. Juniper is classic for the Montana bow builders like Toelke and Robertson, like myrtle is for the guys in the Pacific NW.
