Is Unibond 800 as good as the old Urac 185 it replaces? Is Unibond 800 stronger that Smooth on epoxy?

I can't honestly answer that question, but I can say that AE 40 Smooth on has never failed me. It remains my go to epoxy. My friend brought me a 68 inch Black locust self bow that was popping the handle off when he shot it. I was reluctant to use some 8 year old Smooth On to make the repair since epoxy has a shelf life, and it was all I had at the time. I roughed both surfaces to be glued with a hack saw blade ,and glued the handle back on. That was 3 years, and many arrows ago ,and it is still working fine.

In my opinion no, urac was bomb proof, you could heat a bow part glued with it to a high temperature and it wouldn't turn loose. I am not sure abut unibond and heat.

My opinion may be speculative, I do know urac would never set up in the can, I have had almost new cans of unibond turn to a brick in the can in short order.

I've seen one brand new can of Urac that did turn into a thick paste kind of like galazers putty. Other than that I would rather have Urac over Uniubond.

I have made Bamboo fly rods using both. Really can’t tell any difference. Not sure of shelf life. I have a can of Unibond in the fridge. To be honest I haven’t looked in it for a year. Was still good then.
