Good luck. Rarer than turtle teeth.

What is the Naki?

From: savage1
Date: 11-May-20

Its an ilf riser.

Confusing isn't it?

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 11-May-20

If it's the friend I think it is he is only looking to catalogue the bows, not buy one.

The DAS Naki is the first version of the DAS 21" riser. Not an ILF. David made 5 of them as pre-cursors to the 21" riser that 3Rivers began to sell after they bought David's design. There were 5 right hand and one left hand that David made.

Craig Grounds - used the handle Arrows4Christ - originally owned the lefty. A couple of the righties are accounted for.

yeh I'd be glad to get any name of folks that bought NAKI risers new from David. Or any names of buyers USED later on, or names of anyone SELLING one, and TO WHOM, if known.... thanks.

Savage, you of all people!!! It's not ILF, it's DAS. LOL.

I told you, I'm still confused.

Quit drinking tequila, that should clear things up, LOL.

I'm not really interested in buying one, but if I had the chance, it's a piece of history.

I'm trying to buy an expensive fly tying vise that I don't need, so what the 'H'. I rememeber starting to tie to save money. Ha, don't think I saved any, but I sure have a lot of flies. I can say that the really good thing is I learned enough to make what I needed and that was not made commercailly.

Todd, you should know by now that NO hobby is cheap. Old enough to know better, too young to care huh? Lol.

I'm guessing 4nolz has a Naki, sitting there, wishing he was back here in Iowa shooting it with me. haha. HEY NOLZIE talk to me.

Steve, you hoarding Nakis too? :^)

From: selstickbow
Date: 14-May-20

DANG, I must have 6 posts over here and YOU STILL FOUND ME

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 14-May-20

In Apache, Naki means "two". David Soza chose that because it was his second model in the DAS line.

Dalaa means one - chosen for his first commercially available bow.

Date: 15-May-20

I owned the prototype that David sent to 3R originally. Sold it a few years ago (7 or so)but can't recall to who.

I have a Dad kinetic Hunter left hand gen 2 I think I'm not sure what era it came from. Anybody got any ideas?

From: metalanton
Date: 15-May-20

There are some variations that can be discovered in the g2. Mostly the lettering of Das kinetic n the side of the riser and some of the early ones were personalized with the persons name

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 15-May-20

Gen 2s were made in the 2006-07 time frame.

From: Gofish

Mine too

From: metalanton
Date: 15-May-20

Nice one phil. Mine had the same lettering. But was personalized. I think this is the earlier style

From: selstickbow
Date: 16-May-20

interesting note (possibly only to me, haha) I noticed after having several of the early David risers that my GEN1s had the verbage Kinetics on it, while my gen2s and later risers read KINETIC without the s.

Thanks guys this is the bow I shoot the best and I have had just about all of them in the last 30 years

From: Brian waters

I may be wrong, but it favors the tribute riser they sell today.

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 16-May-20

There are noticeable differences in the Gen 2 risers and the Tribute that you can see if you look at them side by side.

From: Babysaph
Date: 17-May-20

I love mine.

Here is my early run Gen1. It is labeled DAS Kintetics Hunter. Tribute cut outs are very similar.
