Got a couple new bows coming so that gives me an excuse to order some new arrows. My draw is 26 inches and both bows will be at 40 pounds at that draw. Any advice on spine and at what length and point weight? I’m thinking I’ll probably be in a 600 spine for carbon, but need input on length and if I should go with heavier inserts or just use factory and play with point weight

The chart may get you in the ballpark. The red lines give you an idea how to read it.

I shoot 39@27. To shoot a 600 spine I have to go to a 200 grain tip. But the arrow my bow likes the best is a CE Heritage 75 with 150 grain tips and leaving the arrow full length 30 inches. I would say a 700 would serve you best.

Your question us just way too generic for anybody to tell you anything. The best advice based on what you asked and the information that was provided is the spine chart posted.

You have to decide what length arrow you want, what headweight you want to shoot, what string material is on the bow and so forth.

Thanks. I’d like to be in the 150-180 point weight and probably keep my arrows at around 29 inches......whatever length gives the best spine. I use FF strings.

Don't rule out a lighter spine 700-800.

A 600 at 31" may be good, but I sure don't want 5" of arrow sticking past the bow. I would be looking at a 28" at most with 125 tips and likely a 700 spine if using low stretch. As Whittler said, don't even rule out the 800. Guys here tend to nearly always overspine then weigh down the tips or let them long. That's a carry over from compound days when spine didn't matter.

Thank you!! I have some 600s. I’ll get a couple 700 and 800s to play with. May also pick up some aluminums and experiment to see what flies best

Perhaps a 1913 will work for you.
