I would like to sincerely apologize for comments that I made on a recent thread that has since been closed regarding buying bows with stimulus check funds. It really hasn't just been on that thread, but other recent threads as well. I have been argumentative and insulting at times. There really is no good excuse for my behavior. I am under alot of stress, but so is virtually everyone else. I should know better than to make any posts when I am already stressed or angry about outside events, but age notwithstanding, I can be quite juvenile at times. I will try to be better in the future, and will not be offended by pm's that suggest that I check myself. To any that I have offended or just pissed off. My apologies;.

PS Not really a big fan of public apologies, but since I don't have the thread to rely on, I really can't do it on an individual basis, and I guess this covers people that read, but didn't respond, on the actual thread.

everyone is a little stressed out lately

Pat, go shot a couple hogs.

You'll feel better!

I agree with Nolz. This corona crap is putting most folks on edge. I say things I shouldn’t all the time. Even before the virus showed up- and then I wish I’d just kept quiet. Easier said than done!! No judgement here, friend. :)

From: Dale Rohrbeck
Date: 20-Apr-20

Pat, as you and 4nolz said, everyone is stressed out lately, don’t beat yourself up any further. I understand though, cause I need to keep my mouth shut sometimes.

Stressful times! Yup go hunting!

From: MStyles
Date: 20-Apr-20

pdk25, no judgement here either. I expect principled people to have strong opinions, It goes with the territory. However, I didn’t expect the response it got bc I was thinking it would be a yes/no response. Now I know better.

You're a good man, go chase some pigs!

I agree with the recommendations for pig therapy!!! It always works for me!

From: Tree
Date: 20-Apr-20

I don't know a man alive that doesn't wish he could take something back he's said. I also know the man that forgives us for it. Don't sweat it. Go get a pig!!

From: mgerard Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 20-Apr-20

Go big or go home. You went big. I just might've stepped on a few toes myself. Some intentionally, but mostly to balance out the debates. My strategies are not always clear and apparent, so I will try to do better myself. Thanks for your contributions pdk, and most of the rest of you.

From: Nemophilist
Date: 20-Apr-20

pdk25, No sweat. We all get a bug up our behinds now and then. Apologizing shows you're a good guy.

From: Silverback
Date: 20-Apr-20

I've said things on here I've been sorry for so I know how you feel.

From: grizz

"I can be quite juvenile at times". You are not alone. Didn't follow the thread but been there, done that.

From: George D. Stout
Date: 20-Apr-20

Oh heck Patrick, we've all taken a shot at being horses butts now and then so you just roll with the punches. I never take anything personal even if I think it is..life's too short. Sometimes the smart alec just comes out and we can't go back and edit it here. Lots of free thinking personalities on here and that's more good than bad.

From: 3under
Date: 20-Apr-20

It's all good brother, your entitled to your opinion, very stressful times right now. Be safe hopefully this crap is behind us soon.

From: Skeets
Date: 20-Apr-20

All cool. I don't know what was in that thread. But I got to thinking about the stimulus money. It should be spent on something Made in the USA. I think a bow could easily fall into that category.

From: WATERMOCCASIN
Date: 20-Apr-20

A wise man once told me,"if you don't take offense there will be no offense".If someone says something negative about you, examine if it is true and try to be better and if it is not forget about it.Thanks for the apology but not needed.

From: Silverback

Patrick, I am certain it bothers you much more than it bothered anyone else. Just move on and forget about it, Everyone else has.

From: RWGreen Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member

I didn't get a check so I'm doubly offended!

Men (and women) make mistakes. Adults own their mistakes and try to become better.

I didn't read your posts but the fact that you've taken ownership in this way makes you good in my book. Good on you! As I said, I missed the thread, but apology accepted! I like levity, especially during trying times. My guess is your comments wouldn't have offended me at all.

Blessings, well wishes and positive vibes to all!

From: Sinner

A solid response. A lot of men wouldn't do so. I agree that the covid19 situation has a lot of people stressed and angry; especially with the amount of people willing to trample our constitutional rights because they are scared. I best not say much more...

From: White Falcon

More than Covid has this country on edge. We've been at each other's throats quite some time in the USA, but you're apology shows there's still a ray of hope we can one day all get along better!

HOW ABOUT A PICTURE OF YOUR BACK? lol

JUST KIDDING PAT.

IT TAKES THINGS LIKE THIS WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH TO REALLY CHALLENGE OUR LAST NERVE ALL WE HAVE LET.

GOD FORGIVES MAN DOESN'T AND THATS WHY WE HAVE TO BE TOLD TO ASK. THE ASKING IS FOR US. ALL GOOD ALL IS WELL IN THE KINGDOM.

SOME HAVE IT WORSE THAN OTHERS AND WHO KNOWS WHEN WE WILL SEE THIS DONE.

HOLD ONTO YOUR FRONT AND TRAP YOUR REAR DOOR BECAUSE THE STORM IS UPON US.

ALL ANY OF US HAS IS HOPE BUT WHEN THAT IS GONE THEN LOOK OUT.

Nice to see someone own up to a mistake on their part or what they feel like might be.

My hats off to you sir.

Personal responsibility is almost non existent in America today. I speak for myself but would be confident in saying we can all learn from your apology.

To many nasty comments and criticism on forums across the web.

I am here only because I enjoy talking about traditional archery with those that share the same passion.

We as Americans in a whole need to learn the art of disagreeing and still being a friend and Neighbor.

I can be the worlds worst at times.

Well done sir.

Seeing I've never said anything negative to anyone, I do not accept your apology. Kidding of course. Didn't see the thread, so in the grand scheme, it don't matter. Of Course I'm joking. I've had to apologize a couple times. Don't let it bother you. They probably deserved it. :^)

Personally, I enjoy a little wrasslin’ now and again; but who (outside of hands-on healthcare workers) ISN'T going a little stir-crazy these days??

My personal solution to irritation and stress during these times is I rekindled a long lost hobby of carving hunting decoys again. I haven't carved in 29 years and now find I'm addicted again. I have tons of stuff on the internet to prowl now and then I can retreat into my shop. When I carved all through the 80s and into the 90s there was no internet.

Sometimes it's good to explore new things or just take a breather once in a while. Take it for what it's worth.

Welcome to the club. Been there, done that. Over & done, time to move on! But I guess if you really want to make it official. Oh yeah, there's a form for everything.

From: RymanCat
Date: 02-Jun-20

Ok we get it there really doesn't need to be any excuses for the behavior. The one we really should apologize to is our Lord. I understand the Lord isn't everyone's father but for those it is then that's where it all begins.

I'm so angry myself I could tear off my cloths. This is terrible and for us that struggle with health it's even harder don't kid yourself it is. I have to look at myself and like how in creation will we get through all this nonsense. Well for me it's the hope in Christ that the Lord will overcome and set things straight for us all for both believers and the unbelievers.

All this has been long coming and we all knew it just not when. We saw little signs of things here and there but not what it all is for now is us way different.

We have to bare up under this with one another best we can and if the frustration comes out in any of us then we have to see just what we can do not to have thin skins and feed back into to make it worse and more chaos.

Do you want thin skin that if you walk by a thorn bush you get hung up in it. Go around that bush then and stand in the sun and get some Vit D because we need it to survive.

We don't need to elaborate then the message gets weak because we all are under the same stress.

From: 1/2miledrag

I missed the thread and resulting hoopla, but go easy on yourself, I suspect we've all said things we are not proud of at some point.

Some time has passed here so hopefully the subject is not so painful anymore. Remember Clint Eastwood's song "Don't let the old man in" ? My version on the internet is "Don't let the smartass in". And this has nothing to do with you, Patrick, just me.
