After getting skunked turkey hunting I gave my shortbow (Saluki) a rest and started getting my Bushmen 60' ready for summer Axis and fall elk. Ordered some GT 340's and a cut-off saw and in short order had myself spectacular arrow flight.

There are few bowhunting related things more fun than watching your arrow spin true in flight.

Arrows came in heavy almost 12 gpp… but that bushmen doesn't care. They still zip... just quieter. Man I love that bow. I've never seen a better two-piece takedown.

Jarhead, what tip weight and inserts?? are you shooting with the 340's? Also 60' is that 60 lbs? Like the Batman has requested.. PICS pleeeeese. :-D

PS, I hope you have to post a photo of a fantastic Axis. I have only taken one doe with my recurve hunting Axis. Some places they are not hard quarry, but some they make whitetail hunting look like fish in a bucket...

I like 12gpp works great! Yes does quiet bows as well.

Bones and Batman... here you go. I got the traditional GT's... they are heavy and they have that collar system as well. My best flight happened at 175grains... so that's what I fletched at and they fly great.

I have several bows for WT's - this will be a travel bow for larger game. I swear I could run this bow over with a truck and it would be fine. 680 grains flew at 170 fps... pretty great for a 58 pound bow.

The camo on the limbs looks really cool. Nice bow!
