First attempt at fletching went well enough. The functionality is solid! The G5 blue glue i used held well but like most crazy glues left a white residue. Is there anyway to remove it? Does the tape offered hold up as well as glue? Any advice you guys could give would be much appreciated!

Duco glue is the old standard but yes the fletch tape is great.

Minimize the white residue by using just enough glue to stick the fletch solidly. The excess that squeezes out is what you see.

Looks like a carbon arrow and I have had excellent results with Fletch Tite platinum. It leaves no visible residue like that.

Good enough shoot away. If you really dislike the white look of the glue, get so one stringer wraps.

It is carbon. I will be fletching 12 new aluminum arrows and wanted to practice. Like i said they work and thats the primary concern. However i take pride in my hobbies and would like it to look better.

Bohning fletching tape has worked very well for me. I'm shooting some Douglas Firs that are a few years old and the fletching is still solid.

Duco cement for wood

aluminum and carbons I use Saunders NPV cement

scrub the aluminum with dutch clenser and wipe and rinse good -don't touch after cleaning area to be fletched

the saunders NPV works great on aluminum and carbons

Saunders NPV is the best on the market right now for aluminum and carbon. I never use super glue for fletching, especially with feathers.

DAP Rapid Fuse.

15 second bond, works on everything, and don't leave the white residue.

Fletch tape is fast and very durable, been using for years on all kinds of shafts.

Tape for me.

Crazy glue is CYA glue and the white residue is caused by the curing process. Use something else like Saunders NPV or fletch tape.

The white residue will wipe off with a damp cloth.

ive had good luck with npv. but if rick is recommending something im listening. the tape works but its a pain in the butt imo

Yes, ..the tape is fiddly to work with but you get better as you go. I always seal the tips , middle, and rear of the feather with a spot of fletch tite. Sandy.

I use Duco , no residue.
