I just received four endless loop strings made by Cameron Root. They are made from Bloodline 99, a low stretch material.
I have always liked the looks of a Flemish twist string but endless loops are more stable and Rooty swears by them.
I have tested two of them and am quite impressed. Quiet and quick and they look good. The loops on this one are served with clear Halo so it does not look like the typical endless loop.|
The string is installed on a 1964 Browning Safari that is 60" and 55#.
A couple of close ups will follow.
Thanks for looking! Peter >>>---------->

I like the intensity of the colours.
By the way, this material is a no-wax fibre, so that eliminates weight as well.
When this string was conditioned at 400# of load it stretched 1/4" longer than than the required length of 57". It is exactly 57" long on the bow before adjusting for brace.

I have endless loop low stretch on several bows. It adds another 5# or more of performance to the lighter limbs as well.

If I may ask, how is an endless loop string "more stable" than a flemish twist string?

All I shoot are endless strings, don't like the performance of a Flemish twist string. I get mine from either Winner's Choice, the ones who know how to stretch strings, or 60X. Both are outstanding companies that know how to build strings.

From what I could tell endless string are faster than Flemish when you first string the bow up for about 5 shots while the Flemish tightens ,but its unnoticable in non stretch almost. But much more noticable in dacron.

Dan Jones...because the flemish is made from several strands that are woven together...the endless loop is one.
Will the average person notice at 25 yards? No.
At longer distances? Yes.

18 strand FF is far from a narrowing descriptive term. FF has not been available for a long time - except as 652 spectra which few use.

Gone back to endless strings as well. I get mine from Chad. I was told Flemish was quieter but I am not so sure. IME it has been the string material that has more to do with noise rather than how a string was made. YMMV

15 fps difference between B-50 and low stretch flemish...Allen Shafer tested it.
And he makes strings from both materials.

Great looking string I like the clear serving. I use low stretch strings on 3 old bows and it has nothing to do with speed for me.
The bows just preform and feel so much better then Dacron. To each their own.

I ordered one for my JD Berry Vixen. For me, personally, the performance gain was not worth the noise increase over my B50 string.

I’m using one of Cameron’s rhino endless loops strings on my pronghorn Hill style. Cameron’s doing a great job with his endless. Endless loop has always been what Ive used. I use b50 endless 95% of the time buy after Cameron sent me one of his endless rhino strings....I may go back to a no stretch string. I’m dying to try the bloodline material. Cameron has all the right tools to make a great string. His equipment is very impressive. His baker string jig and stretcher is the real deal. That set up isn’t cheap but it sure produces a superior string.

I have never (not once ever) had a low stretch material increase the noise of my bow, Unless - (1) the string was poorly made, or (2) the bow & arrows were not retuned to the new high performance string.
Quite the opposite actually. My bows have always been quieter (a lot quieter) with the high performance materials once proper tuning was observed, and I have always got "very significant" performance gains.

I can't really how #'s gain in performance there is when going from Polyester (B-50, B-55) to HMPE (Fast Flight types).
But I do know that it will add up to 10 fps, with some people reporting up to 15 fps. 8 fps gain seems pretty common.

I had asked Cameron for a flemish bloodline string, but he informed me that the material doesn't twist well for flemish. The end loops on the EL string he made for me are very hard like plastic, and I think my backset ASL resonates that sound more than the soft flemish B50 loops. (Just a guess) I'm shooting split without string silencers. Had to go up at least 5# of arrow spine. These are just the results I experienced. Significant noise increase with brace heights from 6-7" and only shooting out to 25 yards. Other people will likely experience different results with a similar setup.

Here's one of Cameron's endless loop on a Chek-Mate Hunter that is 56" and 57#.
It originally had a flemish twist low stretch on it from an unknown maker. Cameron's string made the bow quieter and I had to use a bit stiffer arrow.
As newell38 reported Rooty has some top line equipment and knows what he is doing. He makes a high quality string that is properly conditioned and the attention to details makes a huge difference.
I initially discovered the importance of a well-built string when I tried one from Ten-Ring. as well as a couple of Cameron's earlier flemish twist that he modelled after Rick Barbee's ideas.
You have a bow, an arrow and a string. The string is the instrument that harnesses the power of the limbs and transfers it to the arrow. It should be as good as possible.

The Chek-Mate is pretty quiet without silencing...I moved the brace a bit to get there...now at 8.25". Will see if I can get it to settle down a bit more...the greater number of strands makes a difference over a skinny with no loss of performance.

When I bought a Samick Sage with the string that came with the bow it shot 148 fps. I then tied a 10 strand B55, and a 10 strand D97 flemish twist string. The B55 shot 153 fps, and the D97 shot 161 fps average. That made a believer out of me. I also tried the endless loop deal against the flemish twist 10 strand D97.No apparent difference for me in fps.

I do my own flemish and am not really skilled enough to tell the difference between endless and flemish.
I have heard that endless are more likely not to change than flemish so Target archers prefer them.
I made a endless jig years ago and made a few but they take longer for me to make and use more serving material. I just shoot flemish because for me, in my own skill level, they give me what I need. I think a person should use whatever they want either way and whatever they are more confident with. shalom

There's a lot more to low stretch than speed, If yoiu haven't figured that out, then you really haven't tried much low stretch. It's as quiet, it's more durable, it doesn't have after shot vibration like Dacron, It's less likely to get accidentally cut like Dacron; try cutting some low stretch with scissors. And, it gives more performance because the energy isn't wasted through weight and vibration. Use what you like, but if you really haven't tested it thoroughly, you really don't know who well it works. Dacron is still a good string material and I use it on Ol' Buck, but no other bow has it on right now. I may use it now and again to shoot arrows that are underspined for the low stretch. It's all good and luckily we have our own choices.

And Cameron would be the first to say that Rick Barber kicked up his string building to a new level thanks to his freely sharing his experience and knowledge.
As a recipient of the result of that process I am thankful to both. I would not be the Archer I am today without your dedication to excellence.
It's been a fun ride that I hope continues for many years.
Those great strings will make a huge difference when old age reduces us to shooting 40 pounds.

Boy, that is a lot of twists for an endless string. IMO that would be a lot of twists for a Flemish string.
One of the benefits of endless strings is less material is needed therefore less weight equals more speed.

Cameron is always thinking outside the box. He cautioned me to measure carefully since adding twists is not possible. He prestretches the material to a number far above conventional thinking so it will not stretch any further. And he builds the strings with far more strands to make them quiet with virtually no loss in velocity because the fiber is so light and efficient.
I have been shooting his strings for several years through many stages of material and development. I can assure you that if you think you know more about string building than he does you are wrong.
Everything he does is thought through thoroughly. And his string performance proves it.
