What is the most you have gotten or given for a used bow? I see some real high prices on the used market and wonder if anyone can actually get it. I am not griping about prices, just genuinely curious.

I will start. The most i have gotten was &750 for a very lightly used Bear takedown that i bought new for $850. The most i have given was $350 for a hill, that i wished i had back

$1200 For a O.L. Adcock when the Craze was on and OL was not shipping bows..I sold it 3 days later for $1500 with 3 back up's I could not tame that thang.

Never sold a bow. The most I ever paid for a used one was $200.00. A mint condition Damon Howatt Super Diablo.

Most i ever paid for a used bow was $850. I have bought and sold probably 200 bows over almost 40 years. Have come across some really good deals. At one garage sale I gave $40 for two red wing hunters and 3 dozen arrows. several other times found bows for $10.

Paid $415 for a nice 1959 Kodiak. Sold a 1960 Kodiak for $435. When I was 18 in 1974 I convinced the Asst Manager of a discount store to sell me a bow that had been in inventory "forever" for $35; in 2014 I sold that pristine 1969 Bear Polar for $275.

I'm on the lower end of the scale. $100-$200 bought and sold. I've bought bear recurves at auctions for as low as $5

Approx. 6 yrs. ago I paid $500 for a '70 Type 1 C-Riser Takedown (C-1131) complete with stabilizers, Bear-Omni sight, 37# limbs in a Bear soft takedown case with limb sleeves, all in mint condition.

Had to sell my Ruger .44 Super Blackhawk to fund it but it was worth it!

Just recently acquired a mint '81 .44 Super Blackhawk so all is good.

The most I paid? $40, and I didn't even want it. Still have it.

I can count the number of bows I've bought in 40 years of archery on one hand. Gave most of them away.

I paid .49 cents for a 70s Bear Grizzly at thrift store once.

I once gave $350 for an A handle and then $350 for a really sweet set of #3 limbs that were exactly what I wanted on that riser. That was the MOST for a USED bow. I'm happy.

Most is $350 for several used rosewood risered 1959 to 1962 recurve bows.

Least is nothing as my former boss a few back, who collected old recurves, gave me a great 52-inch hunting bow.

Gave two good rosewood recurves away about 50 years ago.

My most expensive 1962 rosewood recurve bow shoots good enough for the rest of my life.

The most that I spent was for a 2015 “A” riser and number 1 limbs at 50#. Price was $500 and the bow was less than 3 months old! It went to CO on my hunt with Kerry and Peter. Lance

Toss up between an Asbell Bighorn one piece recurve and a custom Kodiak B riser...I gave $500 for either bow. I got that back out of them too when I sold them. Both were just like new. That was over 20 years ago.

mine went the other way. Found a 64" Bear Super Kodiak 66 lbs. Phenolic riser in very good condition it a yard saleca mile from my house. Sept it a year and sold it at Denton in the early years, before them internet. I think I got $250 for it.

$1600 for a Blacktail T2 Sitka with two sets of limbs. Used bow but looked nearly new. Black and white ebony and ebony. Bought three or four over the years for $1400 and a few for $1200. I have found that high end bows are easier to get your money out of than the $200 ones.

The most I ever paid for a used bow was in 1957 I paid $15. for a Paul Bunyon 60# with 6 arrows, and I still have the bow. - - Marc

Have only bought/sold two used bows. Sold the Dan Quillian Canebrake I had for 22 yrs for $240 and bought a Chek-mate Attila for $185 that I sold 2yrs later for $180. Went back to my $29 in '73 Black Bear RC.

Traded a Winchester 70 varmit model heavy target barrell 1968 rifle for a bunch of recuves. Gave one away, but traded most of those bows soon after the trade for a fancy takedown target bow in late 1970.

Paid the highest amount there was was in 1963 for a factory target bow. It was $125 for a new Tamerlane in Janury that year. No bow then, not Hoyt Medalists, cost that much then. Evryone thought I was crazy. Only cost $80 that year to have both transmission seals relaced in my '57 Ford.
