I chimed in awhile back on here, but I finally gave up the cash for a Montana Bow from Dan Toelke. It was an inventory 54” Pika that weighed 42#@ my 25” draw. Goncola Alves accents over a Linen Micarta riser, and bamboo limbs w/ Mango face veneers. And man is she is a beauty.

I received her late Saturday, so I had to settle for Walmart Mossy Oak arrows (over spined 500’s-26”). I can’t wait to order some woodies. I was going to return the arrows (or put some heavier points-200grn.),but I might just keep them for a heavier bow in the future.

My old shooting glove was stiff and cracking from the weather and neglect. However, loosening those first arrows felt so natural. After almost 10 years, I feel like a beginner all over again, and had to ask Dan how to store the bow, Lol.

I will say though, Thank you Dan And Jared. No doubt you make a very fine piece of art. True American Craftsman.

Photos to come soon! I tried to imbedd an iCloud link to the video, but I’m unsure if it will work.

I've got a Tolke Super D, so I knew the bow was going to be a looker, it is. They do nice work. Also, I've got a weakness for those short Reflex/ deflex bows. 42 pounds and 54 inches should make a good shooter. Nice wood combo, congratulations.

Thanks again. As pretty as she is, it’s going to be a workhorse; not a target bow.

Great looking stick!! Toelkes are the best for sure. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk arrows. I have 2 Pikas and a Whip @ that weight and i draw 26". Ive spent a bit of time tuning carbons and woods. Hope it brings you many years of fun.
