Yes, we need to regroup and rethink our attitude and conduct. I am guilty!

Sarge, I agree we all need to calm down a little bit and go back to having fun. I hope you can get out and fling a few arrows soon.

Sarge; I am assuming from watching your video and hearing about all the time and effort you have put into Trad that you have a real passion for the sport. Usually when we are passionate about things so much it's easy to get caught up and take things to heart. My advise would be revisit why you love the sport/hobby and get back in the saddle. It's not worth getting upset to the point you quit doing what you are passionate about. You can't be all things to all people. There are always going to be different points of views and opinions. There also is going to be someone who is willing to debate. At the end of the day it's not worth unstringing your bow over. It still amazes me after being in The sport for 40 years how much I am still learning. There doesn't seem to be enough time in some ones life to learn it all. Hope you get back at it.

22 minutes of talking? To make your point?

Babysaph X 2!!

I went and shot my bow for 30 minutes. Learned a great deal.

If you're going to make this do it before they ever pass the "Green New Deal", because this will be one of the FIRST things to be outlawed. Cow farts are child's play compared to this!

Oops, sorry. The above post was for the camp bean thread. My bad.

Very good points Sam.I've been in the same boat, and quit hunting 4-5 yrs.ago. And I lived for the fall season. I went three years without even stringing a bow. But archery has always been about the only thing that has kept me sane going through a lot of crap the last few years. I started bow hunting in 1958...have always used recurves and longbows.I'm slowly getting reinvolved and shooting a few arrows ocassionaly weather permitting. Hope to hit the woods again this fall. Take care my friend.....Steve

We lose one capability but gain others.

We do what we can. And that changes, sometimes daily, sometimes over years. I can't lug targets like I used to but I can plan a 3D course better than I could years back. And I clear the shooting lanes slower than I used to but the shots look more 'natural'.

Same goes for hunting, work, and many other things. Do what you can and do it better than before.

I didn't watch the full video I will later not sure if this is applicable but I think so many years ago a friend of a friend was visiting from Colorado & I invited him tuna fishing & he asked did I have a flyrod he could use & I replied yes I have fly rods but we were trolling in the canyon & wouldn't be useing any flyrods. he replied I only fish with flyrods & declined to go with us. well we loaded up on yellowfin & mahi & had an absolute blast. yes he got some tuna to take home but iv always felt sorry for that guy for missing a great opportunity. I feel a lot of trad guys with their us & them mentality are missing out on a lot of comrodery & I just don't understand why the separation has to be. I just love hunting & fishing ALL OF IT

Sam, I've enjoyed your insight. Rather I agreed or not doesn't really matter. You have a lot of knowledge not to share and have helped many. THANKS.

Getting into conflict on here can be quite easy and just becomes another lesson in life. And I agree life is to short to take this stuff so seriously.

Take care and hope read more posts from you.

SB, I ran in a Patrol car hard for many years trying to put Crims in Prison and it hardened me.

Thanks being to God, I have never drank even an occasional beer or any alcohol. Skoal was my worst habit.

Thanks Rick.

Ryman, prayers for you and hope the dog is well.

Going to machine a riser after while and will do a another video. Hope I can get you guys to the junk sales and get yourself a small milling machine or a dremel and some files. I will do a handmade video on DIY with just a moto tool.

Thank you Sarge,...... your service as an officer says it all for me.

Paul Brunner made some nice videos, he is the real deal.

Instinctive works, I killed 2 Elk and the best buck with a Bow to date the same year I started watching Pauls video.

Paul said he was taught by Shulz and would stick a sharp broadhead to the back of his hand to avoid a plucking release.

Shulz being the teacher Paul was lucky to have been a student.

The Instinctive method Paul taught had me shooting well after 3 months of following his advice to a tee and shooting every day.

I eventually started gapping off the arrow for longer ranges.

I aqured a set of 75 pounds for my patriot and man, it was a laser beam bow. Killed a Mule deer only that year and a pile of Blue grouse.

Sam I have a patriot I bought over the phone from Dan it came with 62# limbs & I now have a set of 50# Jeffery limbs on it for a roughly 55# bow tried selling it & got no interest kinda glad I still got it. high preformance bows for there time & still are I reckon
