Firefly Deep within the forest glade, that's where the big bucks lie The canopy is heavy there, it covers up the sky In gloomy shadows void of light, nothing's very clear especially the outline, of the ghostly whitetail deer But when you send your arrow, upon it's deadly flight you'll know it's path through the gloom, by fletching showing bright Like it's namesake, it's clear to see, like a beacon in the sky This arrow is the hunters friend, it's called the Firefly

Those are really cool 1/4 away and Hookedspur. I spliced years ago but haven't taken the time more recently. I really enjoy seeing good splicing.

Thanks Bugle but I can’t take credit for them. They were made for me by Gary at D&M Arrows.

I wish I had pictures of the spliced ones I made years ago. They weren't quite as good as Gary Hall's but they weren't too far off. Took a lot of satisfaction in those. Some day...

Some great looking BRIGHT arrows everyone. IMO our eyes tell us what it sees the best. I found flo green nocks stand out for me in low light like in the woods as an example. A guy I shoot with swears by flo green wraps with green and yellow feathers. I have no doubt white stands out in the woods but I wouldn’t want to have my feathers mistaken for a Whitetails butt.

Made six of these cedars. Not fletched yet but so far they're pretty bright. Maybe go with a black cock feather and fluorescent chartreuse hen feathers.

Use these colors for target practice and hunting.

From: todd Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 20-Feb-19

I love the old yellow color, vintage. I have made and hunted with white cedars for few years, with good success. But for my eye, mixed with hunting, I find a Khaki crown, with purple hen feathers and a pink cock feather. Say what you want, but Pink is a great color for feather for shooting/finding arrows in the timber.
