You're gonna enjoy this day even if it's not because of your shooting! Just informed we have 10 dozen hot fresh Krispy Kreme donuts showing up before 8:00 am. We'll have coffee and hot chocolate to go with them!

We also have two church groups cooking lunch and the church ladies are making deserts. And you know church women can make some good deserts!!!!

We are taking donations to shoot and eat. Come join us Ludy!

From: RedOak
Date: 02-Mar-19

We really appreciate everyone who came out to our shoot! We had over 75 folks show up. Not all of them shot - someone had to cook :-) ! But we were really excited to see you all travel from so far to our place. We were truly blessed today. Lots of fine traditional archers.

Plenty of food! You all should have eaten more, way too much left over.

God blessed us with great weather. I'll try to post some photos.

From: THarris
Date: 03-Mar-19

Morning Greg, wow, 75 folks, that's GREAT for a 1st shoot my friend. It doesn't matter if all didn't shoot. I've seen 1st time two day events that didn't get half that many.

You did a very good job promoting it here.

Keep it up and before you know it, you'll be making it a two day event where more & more folks will travel a little further and spend more time flinging arrows with y'all.

JOB WELL DONE!

We thank everyone who came out to join us!

A truly inspirational day with trad folks! It was hands down the best shoot I have ever been to. I haven't eaten that well since my grandma passed 20 years ago and spoiled me for along time. The gentleman listed on this post that were in the group were true caring people and professionals. The property we shot on is a piece of heaven and it provided a realistic trad environment. Simply AWESOME.

Matt, you missed a good one. It wasn't about numbers. Not about the score, the number of shooters, not about the money. Just about getting together for a great time.

After a 3 hour nap this evening I am rested up enough to seek out all the wonderful comments about this shoot here and elsewhere. We lefet the Cadenhead Preserve this morning after a wonderful devotional and sharing fresh memories form all the wonderful experiences while there. For myself and many others the excitement of this event started a good while back. We arrived on Friday so we were extra blessed to spend more time with Greg and Carol than most. Warm hugs and tears as we shared our experiences then loaded up for our trip home.

I have been to many wonderful 3D trad archery events and I can truly say after this weekend the bar has been raised. :) Greg went not just the extra mile, but miles, sitting up the 28 target course and great novelty shots!! The man was a machine that seemed to never run out of juice catering to any need that came his way and Carol is his perfect match!!

If you did not get to make this first ever Cadenhead Preserve Shoot you will definitely want to make the next one if that's what God leads them to do and I pray He does. :)

As already noted this was not your typical 3D "competition". It wasn't about trophies or even bragging rights, simply put it was all about fun while in service of Christ and oh what fun it was!!! Thank you Greg and Carol for blessing so many with what the Good Lord has blessed you with, not only with your piece of heaven on earth, but your two big, wonderful, and generous hearts and Carol's contagious grin!!!
