Couldn't get my phone out it time, but this morning a saw a large blue heron divebomb a big doe out in a cut bean field off the highway. For all the world like a mockingbird pestering a yard cat. The deer was like ??

I was sitting against a big tree this year and a doe comes by, I think I might get a shot. Just as she is almost past me she turns and sees me...busted. But she didn't know what I was and starts stomping and blowing, but not going anywhere. She kept it up for several minutes (don't you hate that). Suddenly through the canopy a redtail hawk swooped down with talons extended and grabs small fistfuls of hair off her back and lights up in a tree limb just above her with a devious hawk smile on his face. Being a redhead I thought to myself score one for the gingers! cool.
