I am looking at getting a second ILF Riser. I have a Black Wolf and I would like a second riser for a set of Uukahs. I am not a hunter, so this is just for fun ie target not competing. I am considering the JC Optimus or the Sammick Discovery. Both are about $250.00 I would like some input especially if you have owned or shot either of these risers. Thanks James

Though I've learned that ILFs aren't my thing, I owned a JC Optimus for a while. Seemed to be quite well made. IMO, a very good riser for the money. A very good riser regardless of the money.

I vote for the trad tech titan. With the option of pocket weights and grip upgrade it's a solid built riser.

For target work I would opt for a longer riser.

Morrison. The Stalker Ibex looks cool. I would like to get my hands on one of those

Agree on a longer riser for target shooting.

Check the classified section here, I've seen them listed for sale.

Ive gotten hooked on warfs lately. Got this 17" off ebay and added plates. $65 total invested plus some elbow grease.

The 17" DAS risers are terrific. They show up time to time.

Its a cheap riser made for bolt down limbs. Not sure who makes it. Anyways, not trying to hijack the thread. Have you checked out alternative archery in the uk? They always have some good prices.

My vote is the jc optimus I’ve owned and shot one very solid riser the only reason I got rid of mine was I could not get used to the feel of a metal riser but very well built riser

JC Optimus.

The JC Optimus riser is hands down a lot better then the Titan riser. Sorry, but the Titan riser is a decent rise, but not worth the money they ask. The grip on the Optimus riser is great, small throat, thin, perfectly balanced. Lots of options in ILF risers. I personally shot a Mathews TDX riser, and Matt designed a great rise.

Brian's riser is made by a company called junxing. They are the manufacturer of the black hunter.I have got my hands on several of thier products they seem to be the go to producer of bows in China. In pretty sure they make that optimus riser also. They make some pretty nice products.

I have Brian's riser and sage limbs bolted right on.Made a really nice shooting bow.I did not think I would like that type of grip but I do.I paid 35 bucks shipped for riser.

Another vote for Titan. Tons on options and one of the best customer services & support you will find.

Sorry, I didn't see that you had a couple risers you were looking at.

I like tribe x3 for metal. Dryad for wood.

I have an original Titan with the BF Extreme limbs. It’s a early one that came before they even had Trad Tec grips.. It’s still pristine and I’ve never felt the need for “Better” I doubt I could find better. Hard on feathers though.
