Henry Bodnik of Bearpaw Products is making the new Shrew bows. I just got word from him that he will be attending the show at Kalamazoo and will be at the Shrew booth.

From: Kodiak
Date: 04-Jan-19

One of the best looking bows I've ever seen.

From: Osage Outlaw
Date: 04-Jan-19

I like it!

From: SB
Date: 04-Jan-19

And I thought you just got fancy with a Sharpie! Isn't white Ebony an oxymoron?

From: reb
Date: 04-Jan-19

That is Awesome!

From: Droptine
Date: 04-Jan-19

Beautiful I really would like to get one of these one day!

From: 4nolz@work

Some bows are too fancy for me like this one.I DO like some of the risers in the other shrew thread.

From: BigB
Date: 04-Jan-19

Cool!

From: JusPassin Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 04-Jan-19

When will you be starting to take orders again?

From: painter
Date: 04-Jan-19

I love Shrew bows, own 4 of them, they are my all time favorites but a white bow does almost as much for me as a pink one does. It ain’t me fellas.

From: sir misalots
Date: 04-Jan-19

nice!

From: 2 bears
Date: 04-Jan-19

Any shrew owners anywhere near Houston Texas. I want one as soon as I see if I can shoot it. a 48" Bear, 50"Browning Cobra, 52"Herters Perfection, 52" Thunderbird and even a 58"Grizzly just don't do it for me. I don't need anymore wall hangers and just won't buy another short bow, this late in the game, without trying it. I am intrigued by short bows and always wanted to be able to shoot one.I have never tried a Little Suckling or a Texas Comanche either. Thanks for your time. >>>>-----> Ken

That looks really nice!

I like that wood.

Is that the new laminated wood product that Kustom King is distributing for BearPaw here in the U.S.?...

https://www.kustomkingarchery.com/Save-the-Rainforest-Riser-Block/productinfo/5709/

It's very unique looking for a laminated wood, and they're offering in three colors... Rosewood, Cocobolo, and White Birch Burl.

I might have to eventually get a couple blocks of it to try out for myself.

It looks great!

From: Benbow

The light riser and dark limbs are very nice. The natural camouflage is wonderful. This is a Shrew you can hold while watching hunting shows, admire in the woods, prance around the local 3D shoot with or just shoot her and smile.

From: Shag
Date: 04-Jan-19

I like it! ALOT! Will it be an option that can be purchased? Any idea on the price tag?

From: 2 bears
Date: 04-Jan-19

No folks I don't believe that is laminated but gorgeous White Ebony. Which is not an oxymoron either. It is both black and white. White with black grain or black with white grain?? Same as a Zebra. >>>>-----> Ken

That is a really stunning bow.

It's very nice looking stuff!

It looks a lot like real exotic wood.

Very impressive!

The "cocobolo" color is my personal favorite.

Very nice looking bow outstanding !

From: 2 bears
Date: 05-Jan-19

My bad,the web sites do say it is man made material. It sure looks good in the pictures. I am anxious to see it in person. As mentioned, Kustom King carries it. >>>>-----> Ken

From: The Whittler

Was told it's laminated birch and impregnated with resin like the old Dymondwood. It does look nice and if it is laminated birch it should be strong as a tank.

From: Wolflord
Date: 05-Jan-19

I love it! Now if only I could get one in a heavy draw weight.

From: Burly
Date: 05-Jan-19

While I don't like the looks of that particular bow ,it does have a really cool name. It probably will be a very good seller.I like the looks of that appletree better. To each his own.

It's odd because I spray paint every damned bow I hunt with, but I think I want one ;0)

Do you guys know how mad Ron will be at me if i buy one of those and then hit it with Krylon?

From: BigHorn

ill contibute 10$ to the krylon tiger project!

Home run Ron.

From: David McLendon
Date: 05-Jan-19

I have some White Macassar stashed for later use and it looks like that. Laminated birch would have even spacing in the color/lamination lines. Look at the belly side of the riser, those are not even and are grain lines, so I'm thinking that is the real thing.

From: Recurve Crafter ™ Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 05-Jan-19

I think that's the point David. ;^)

It's made to look "natural", and it's probably not dyed and laminated like conventional actionwood or dymondwood is (in uniform layers).

Did you look at the "save the rainforest" material on the Kustom King site? It's the same stuff.

It's superb looking material, that's for sure.

Henry Bodnik of Bearpaw products is making the Shrew bows to my specifications, sales go through me.

I spent a week with Henry in my deer camp this fall going over the design of the Shrews with him. Henry's workmanship and attention to detail is outstanding.

I cannot fathom how it is that people feel it’s worth their time to say that they don’t care for the way it looks...

I guess they don’t have the imagination to see themselves hunkered in the brush or sifting through the aspens while dusk and heavy snowflakes settle into the woods around them...

From: 2 bears
Date: 06-Jan-19

Well they just might hunt where it never snows. Still if you don't have anything nice to say well you know. I think it is pretty but I like the unusual. There are many other choices of materials if you don't like that one.If you don't like short bows you are wasting your time on the wrong thread. >>>>-----> Ken
