A few years ago I attended the IBO at Twin Oaks and it was a fabulous site for archery. Pappy has a wonderful archery site and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I d love to attend the Classic , maybe I can this year?

We just got a load of new mid's in for our practice range and a load of new Rineharts coming to doll up the main range. With this our 20 + target practice range should be in very good shape for the Classic. We will have a 20+ target practice rang set for you to shoot all you want when registerd for the main shoot and also 41 targets set on 2 courses for shooting for score or fun which ever you prefer. what are the classes? are they the same as IBO ?

yes Anthony pretty much the same classes except the ranges are set up a lot different, more of a hunting set up with several multiple targets to pick from at some and lots of scenery at most shots.If you haven't been before I think you would like it. Pappy

We have already started getting ready for this event, but man the weather has stunk, hope it is just getting it out of it's system before May. Rained 4 inches or so the last couple of days and more to come early next week they say. 78 high yesterday and 30 for high today,in the teens tonight.WOW what a ride. we need some sunshine !!! Pappy

Someday Pappy we'll make it back down to the cabin. That first w/e in May is the MLA's Spring Shoot and we'll be there helping w/ that program. But we will see you all when you make the trip north to Elm Hall in August. Hope the sun shines for you and it stays dry!

Yep Kurt plenty of ice/fire wood/porto Jons/and portable shower that we have redone and is pretty nice.Also for all that register for the main shoot we will have a nice practice range for you to shoot and enjoy all you want, the ,main range will be open Friday morning to shoot ONCE per registration. Also please remember the pet rule, we haven't banded pets but the must stay in camp and on a leash, quite and under control.Also if you have one of the loud genrators please be kind and only run them in the day light when folks are not trying to sleep.Both rules has seemed to work out pretty well the last couple of years.Only a couple more weeks and still lots to do , but we are getting there. Pappy

We usually only use them at the IBO in July. We keep boats on hand for the Classic.LOL. Pappy

Very good Kurt/Clint, I have heard from several more that should roll in next weekend, should have a pretty good crowd by Next Monday. I feel sure it will change but the long range weather looks way to good, maybe it will hold but I never count on it. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I tried something a little different this year, instead of praying for good weather I just ask the good Lord, your will be done, we will see how that works out. See you guys/gals in a week or so. POcedar, I hope your forecast is right. The one I saw spoke of thunder storms and scattered T-storms Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Current weather forecast calls for 50% chance of storms on Thursday and Friday, 60% chance on Saturday. Sunday is looking good. Hoping things turn out better than forecasted.

Pappy it looks like the weather is going to prevent me from coming all the way to Tennessee this year.

Sorry to miss the shoot! It is definitely one of my favorite of the year.

TN weathermen rarely get it right...a little precip doesn't slow the Classic regulars, shucks, we prepare for it every year..

I have seen it dry as a bone there when the forecast was showing grim. I would hate to think that I missed this event because I couldn't put my big boy pants on... or girl pants if your so inclined, just because a little weather.

The year Nasville flooded, there was still an amazing turn out at the Classic.

Just sayin.. maybe ya'll could wait for another year to enjoy the Classic.. only to miss again because of another ill forcast.

God willing, I won't miss this shoot ever!

In my 60 years on earth I have not seen anyone melt from rain. I drove 6 hours to enjoy great hospitality, great shooting, and if it rains, getting soggy. Brought a change of clothes (a couple actually) and I am gonna enjoy every minute of the Classic.

Coming down in the morning. Bringing a raincoat, as always.:-)
