Ok, we have questions about equipment limitations, so here goes, bare bows only, no sights or stabilizers, any type rest, any type arrows, for any cousre, under 18 may shoot NASP approved genesis bows, in a seperate genesis class, American Round is any of these mentioned bows, all one class bow type, gender and age. 3-d courses are broken up into Men, women, youth, cub classes. Men, women will have seperate classes for Recurve, Longbow, primitive. Youth and cub classes are recurve, longbow and genesis, seperated in Boys and Girls each class.

Also, stakes are set for mens, womens, youth, cub . Of course these can be shot competition, or just for fun. Folks, if you are looking for a super competitive, high stress shoot, you may be dissapointed. We are not going to get hing up on equipment restrictions, if you want to shoot carbon arrows in a selfbow..., we dont care. We score 5,8,10 on rhinehart targets. All targets will be broadside, and therefore forward kill rings are used. Dont think a gut shot deer is going to score anything but a 5, no matter if the score ring does go back there for ASA, or whatever tupe rings they are. We are Ky Trad BOWHUNTERS Assoc, so only what is an ethical shot on the animal. Common sense dictates. We will have score ring photos at registration table to clarify. We do require anyone in a competition class to have 2 score cards, scored by 2 different score keepers. Any scorecards that dont match, wind up in the garbage can. BOTH MUST BE RETURNED AT REGISTRATION TABLE. If you want a trophy both must be tirned in, if you want a momento, take a picture of scorecard. In all the years we have done this, i think this was the only issue we had, just once i csn remember. Id like to keep it this way. Would rather see happy smiling faces around vendors and campfires, vs mad competitors fueding over technicalities. I can honestly say, we have had great luck with satisfied attendees, I believe due to these policies. Just a relaxing, fun weekend. Please, let us furnish you firewood, it will be strategically placed next to the lane for everyone to access. Also if you can bring a fire ring would be appreciated, or cut a sod ring, then replace sod before leaving. We have few homemade fire rings at firewood trailers, help your self, but please return ring, and unused firewood before you leave, to savenour overworked crew another job. Be courteous about generators, its just plain rude to setup camp next to someone already there and setup a noisy generator. We have never said no to pets, but unruly, bad tempered, or barking dogs will ruin others camping experience. Please be courteous. Strange dogs meeting in the vendor area and evolving into a dog fight can wear out your wwelcome quick. Stepping in a steaming pile of dog poop is no fun either. I know we all love our pets, but it would be prefferable to keep them leashed at your campsite, and not high traffic areas, like vendors or tent. We have children around, no one wants the shame, guilt, or liability of a dog bite. If we ever have an issue, pets will be banned. I hope I dont come off as a hardcase, but when you throw 400-500 people in an area for a weekend some ground rules have to be laid. The only issues we ever had at these events always seem to be dog related. I love my dog, but he stays home, where he is happiest. If you must bring Fido, I understand. If Fido misbehaves, you must understand. Looking forward to seeing you all !

This does several things, it post questions that others may have as well, its more apt to be noticed and answered as I often neglect my messages, and lastly, keeps our thread at top and current, which may bring in a larger crowd. Danel, not sure if you have ever been to our shoot, but, you will find that we dont charge vendor fees, therefore, and type private trading is allowed, and even encouraged. I have no problem with daily blanket trades. Just setup whereever you please, whenever you please. This could be done at a campsight, or right up there beside the big tent, or in front of clubhouse. Wont hurt a thing. Blanket trade your brains out if thats what pleases you ! ??

Pleas pull past the rifle range ( on the right, cant miss it) as the flintlock club also has a shoot that weekend, and they are all period correct primitive camping. An RV cramps their style. ??. You will see campers and tents scattered about shortly after the rifle range. If you are coming as a vendor as it sounds, you will see vendors clustered around the huge party tent, so anywhere around there

It's great that the flint lock folks will be there at the same time. I always enjoy seeing them and their period correct camps, clothes, etc. They seem to enjoy roaming around the vendor tents too. Traditional archery and traditional black powder are a nice combination. I have missed seeing them when they are not there. Tomorrow I head that way! Yaaaa :o)

Big thx to Randy and all the others that helped put on another great tradfest. This made my 7th trip to the Ky tradfest and as always I had a very good time. I did a lot of shooting, meet a lot of nice people and made some new friends. Oh yeah one more thing, I picked up another new custom order Treadway longbow and just like the others...I absolutely love it.

My first Tradfest and I have to say it was great. The club put together really good course. Also, the portolets were emptied regularly and clean. It's such a minor detail but it sure was nice. Maybe other clubs could try it.

I do not have the sheet with me, but it is the top three in every class. Will try and get that up soon, unless one of the other club members would like to post it.
