Awesome! Blake, any bushy-tail with a trad gear is a trophy in my book!! Congratulations on the harvest!

Be sure to add your pic to my squirrel harvest give away at the end on December. (Honoring Tree Squirrels)

I'm still trying to get mine this year and get my fried squirrel fix. trying not to pull out the .22 rifle......:)

Banjo, now that would be something!!

Have to score that one in millimeters to get the big number it deserves!

Squirrels are a lot harder to hit than a 200# buck. Good shooting. Banjo, squirrels around here never live long enough to grow racks that big ;)

My buddy text me today- squirrels 3- old bowhunter 0. lol. Slippery little critters. But I know he will tell me it was a blast. It is just nice to be able to pull the string. Keep them coming Blake.

By the Northern Lights

You'll see strange sights

As you roam the endless spruce

But the strangest of these

The hunter sees

Is the rare and wondrous Squoose

Ah, the mighty Squoose ... perhaps the most elusive trophy persued by the men that don't fit in.

They are fun to hunt. Hard to hit I missed at least 15 this year. They are super fast critters. Bernie it was mid body, but he turned trying to get the arrow out of him a few seconds before it died. Simmons Tiger Sharks not just for deer lol. I got him as I was heading out of the woods.

Oh. OK...

I thought you’d hit him up so high in a tree that he just cratered that deep when he hit the ground.

So the next thread....

Check out: Whackstarhunters.con How to score a trophy squirrel. Used this once for a contest at work, photos had to be included for documentation, and accuracy. Made for an interesting contest! Good Hunting!

I shot a few off the bird feeder with judo points. Some died, some limped away. Killed a few bird feeders too...

In residential areas, you can’t beat a rubber blunt for safety...

But it’s gotta be a headshot or a hammer&anvil set-up. Just too danged hard to kill, otherwise...

From: Clydebow

I only kill buck squirrels too. Not too hard to tell them apart. Just shake the tree until you hear the nuts rattle.

From: DanaC
Date: 16-Dec-18

Fair number of nuts rattling around in this thread...

:D ^ Perfect. I haven't had a great season either this year with the longbow. Maybe I too have been looking for the wrong buck.

My first shot ever with a bow was at a squirrell.Missed him but the sight of that arrow soaring close by began a love affair with bow hunting that has never waivered since.
