I've been contacted by him on some stuff I've got for sale. Something feels fishy.

I don't deal with folks who have no history. Better get a phone number and talk to him.....if you can.

Thanks George, I've asked him to call with no response other than here.

Mate our club is Sunshine coast Bowmen. If I think it is the one you mean then it is definitely all good.Actually he is asking questions about your authenticity too. Think it is all some sort of crossed signals.

All I have asked for is a phone call, to no avail. I have done numerous deals, sales purchases, and trades on here without any issues including with George above. Now I've been contacted by Traditional archer (no posts also) and have asked for a phone call, still nothing. I put a phone number in my add for a reason, call me about this is all I'm asking. Thanks to Matt and Mike for the sweet deals this week, and thank you for giving me this venue to vent. Geoff

bobby bowman, 60 Cowboy has an extensive history here, and I don't see anyone asking about his authenticity on here. It's at the least just good manners to respond when asked for a phone number, and when no one communicates, that is a red flag here. Tell him/her to join in the conversation so we can get an idea of who it is that is inquiring.

If his name is Stephen then iv brought and sold countless bows to and off him as for the phone side of things.

I pulled my add, this has been weird thru and thru. I may try again later in the week. A simple phone call would have eliminated all the issues. Wow. Hey Merry Christmas to all of you and yours, and a safe and happy holiday season also. Geoff p

When you walk to the very edge of a cliff, does your gut say "take one more step forward or back? It never lies. Even if all is good you're not hurt.

Mate I’ve bought in excess of four bows on here with no issues. Your request for a phone call was in relation to pay friends and family of which I said I did not feel comfortable. In turn I paid the excess fees to cover the additional a seller experiences if not doing a friends and family transaction. I then gave you my details and offered to video chat with you. You have not responded and have my funds. Due to your lack of response I now have to wait up to 30 days for PayPal to make a decision.

Flyne I purchased on behalf of Stephen

You can't expect a great deal of trust since those two posts are your only history. Kinda makes most folks leary.

I dont see how it could of been fishy if you had already been paid. Thats the opposite of what a scammer or someone dishonest would do lol

The quiver was bought on my behalf by darryl (sunny coast bowman) because iv always had trouble using leatherwall. My name is stephen cowan, nickname is Lil Man, i run alot of facebook groups, all traditional archery related. Nothing but trad, traftional archery 2, everything traditional archery, recurve longbows and leatherworks, etc. I have quite a good reputation in the archery community, i give away bows and other trad gear quite often.

Like was mentioned i think we all got a fishy feeling about eachother when the opposite was true. As i stated you had already received the funds so i couldnt rip you off. Again id like to offer an apology for all this mate

I can vouch for the complete honesty of the two gentlemen from Australia whose honesty seems somehow to have been questioned. Lilman would be one of the most generous persons I have ever known, literally giving away dozens of high quality bows to more needy people, and sunnycoast bowman is equally one fine person who would rather cut of his nose than do the wrong thing to any one. As a simple bystander I feel it offensive that either persons integrity could be questioned as it seems to have been. hopefully this is just a good deal gone wrong and situation can be resolved peaceably.

And I can vouch for the complete honesty of 60 Cowboy. So maybe you need to start over. Maybe joining in on some threads now and then would ease the tension and actually allow folks to know who you are.

Time to just drop the classified. They continue to bleed over into the main forum - many times with avoidable drama.

I am sick of people thinking other people are fishy and think they need to let the rest of the forum know. The classifieds are just fine. Have not been burnt once and always do my due dilligence.
