My wife told me that she had used up the last of our tenderloin in a stir fry dish that she made. I couldn’t have that, so I woke up this morning and sat in a tree for a little while. I work second shift so normally I don’t like to bounce out of the bed before daylight but today I made an exception. At eight o’clock this little guy walked up from behind me, then under me and started directly away from me. I stood up and at about 12 yards or so he took a step to his left which gave me a quartering shot. Arrow away- all looked good. He bounced off a few yards, his tail looked like an airplane propeller and then he just fell. Just like that. The zwickey delta did its job well. This wasn’t a huge deer, but an old one. I looked at his teeth and they were worn down pretty bad. I told my wife about it and she said, “well we still need a couple more”. I can deal with that. Thank you Lord.

Congrats! I've noticed over the years a lot of the deer I got good, whirled their tails around before going down. Usually within site. Good Shooting!

"I told my wife about it and she said, “well we still need a couple more”. I can deal with that. Thank you Lord." She needs to talk to my wife. I got the exact opposite response when I mentioned I wanted to go out this morning, so here I sit at work. Good for you both. :) Nice shooting, congrats.

Good deal!!! I hope your wife doesn't get like mine when I have a bad season. We get into some scrap's if I don't kill more than 1 deer, world war 3 if for some reason I don't get 1, but that has only happened once in my life thank god.

Normally I don’t post my deer without a picture to accompany it. Not sure what happened. Thanks for righting it George.

Great job!! Great story!!

My wife doesn't eat venison, but helps me cut it up. She has never complained no matter how many I get and also never complains if I don't get any. I guess she figures it comes with the package.

You guys who have wives who support your hunting passion dont know how good you have it. Esp when they scrap about not getting enough animals. Consider yourselves blessed.
