I've already screwed up hunts by taking pictures, but the fact is the pictures will last my lifetime, and then someone else's life..if they don't pitch them. ;) There are a few areas far east and far west of us that still have seasons, but we're done until the day after Christmas.

My last day was spent with a friend who wanted to hunt pheasants so I opted to hang with a friend and take the shotgun. This is the third year in a row now .... so far, that I haven't taken a deer in archery season, and it is just fine with me. I've spent more than my share of time in the woods. Enjoy and be safe as you go along.

We still have hunting here until the end of February for small game. There is really never a time when we can't be in the woods. Yeah, I love creeks, especially in my hunting areas.

I also see a fox in the picture, the second limb from the top goes across just below his eyes, and i can see his upright ears,..i saw the fox before i found the deer. Sandy

Saw the deer right away but not the fox. Can’t really tell if it is a fox, but kinda looks like one.

Craig, I saw it...well I THOUGHT it was an owl on the ground... never saw the deer! Thank you for sharing your appreciation of Mother Nature...

Monkyball. Well i was pretty sure it wasn't really a fox,, yes i did realize it was just a clump of leaves. Many times you will see something in the woods like that depending on the way the light is and shadow. Last week i saw a deer in among the weeds across my drive way, i saw the ear movement, the shape of the head..after staring a while i realized that the ear movement was just a weed moving in the wind. I'm pretty sure we all do that at times. Sandy
