Great little hunting bows for stands and blinds. They still work just fine. This one is a Head Ski era and my main hunting bow. Shot this little guy this morning.

Yes I have one. It is a very nice bow but it is just too short for my draw length. I would like to try the longer one sometime. >>>----> ken

I took my first archery buck with a 52" Wing Thunderbird in 1972 in my eighth year of bowhunting. Pass through shot at about 25 yards more or less. Bow was 49# at 28" and a Head Ski model. Awesome bows.

Mine’s a ‘67 and we’re still just getting to know each other, but so far, so good! I shot this group last night about 45 minutes after sunset… Maybe 40? Anyway, I could just make out the white spot in the middle of the target and it looks like the bow did the rest all by herself!

Nice job. I don't have a Wing, but have shot one.

I’ll tell ya....

That massive phenolic riser has me re-thinking what I want in my next bow....

I have a Bighorn TD with a heavy riser that shoots like a dream but would get pretty heavy after 9 or 12 hours on my feet between 9,000 and 12,000 feet...

And you can call it Blind Luck if you want (rightly so, given that I could barely make out the target through the Gloom), but putting 4 shots into a strip less than an inch wide at 30 yards gets my attention.

I’m going to have to shoot this bow a whole lot more and see what I can do with it...

GF, looks like you have perfect line with that old T-Bird. I would rather have consistent line if given a choice as elevation is easier for me to fix. At 52" this is not really a heavy mass bow but but definitely more than average. Besides, the grip on this old gal fits me perfect. Not a better recurve grip out there for me. The weight on this one is 46#, I also have a a 45 pounder. Bob Lee certainly designed some great bows in his day. I'd love to get a 62" phenolic T-brid in the 45 - 50 pound range. That would be for the range, I'll stick to the 52" for hunting.

Yep! If it turns out I can do that consistently, Bare-shafting with it should go pretty quick!
