Does anyone have experience with a Free Spirit Windwalker bow built by David Harper ? They were built In the early mid nineties .Dave Harper resided in Az . It Was the first trad bow I owned. I still have the bow in my rack and sadly has not been shot in Twenty years. I am tempted to string it up & shoot but nervous about it blowing up so maybe a bowyer can check it out . Dave Harper passed a number of years ago.

Chuck, I don't know how far you are from fdp, or Rick Barbee, or White Falcon but I would trust them. Personally, you only need to string it and pull it few times to be confident. Most laminated bows will outlive all of use and I see no reason not to give it a go.

Ok . Will do that I have to get fastflite string somewhere and try it out. It had tremendous speed and the arrows soared out to thirty five yds . 45 @ 28. Didn’t know a thing about trad shooting back then coming off a wheelie bow. Thanks

I remember those bows. Seems he made a 1 piece and a takedown as well.
