Looks like a pretty good bow for the money. Lucky you, going to RMSGear tomorrow. I was there 1-1/2 years ago while visiting my sister in Erie. Definitely an addictive place. I walked out with a 48# 1957 Kodiak! Give us a further update after your visiit. Lance

I bought the Galaxy Ember longbow from Lancaster Archery (same bow with bamboo limbs) and it is 60" and no stack out to 30" draw. It is an absolutely outstanding bow in all respects.

Ember longbow from Lancaster Archery. I got one in a trade. Very well made bow. Shoots better than some of the $$$$$ bows I have had.

What size limb bolts are on your Black Hunter and Galaxy Ember bows, 1/4” or 5/16”?

I,be heard of bows with either of these limb bolts. Whereas here in US the standard is 5/16”.

Just bought a set of bamboo core longbow limbs that are 1/4” but my two Black Hunters are 5/16” so will have to drill out the hole in these limbs so they fir my handles.

The string that came with is some type of low stretch like fast flight or D-97. It is an endless string and 16 strands. Way too many strands for a 35# bow. Haven’t used that string but do shoot it with 12 strand D-97 or 12 strand B-50, both of which are Flemish.

B-50 is quieter but has a little thump. No thump with the D-97 but am having a little difficulty getting it quiet. I sure do like the way it shoots with the D-97 Flemish string.

Oh all my limbs are longbow.

Good reviews on the Galaxy Ember. Who would have thought we'd be able to get quality stuff like that for such little money. And from China.

Try puff balls to get it quiet.

I've been hunting with my Black Hunter longbow lately. It has the cat whiskers and is pretty quiet. I just use the string that came with the bow from Twig Archery.

Good lookin bow.

Already have wool on mine. It has a higher pitched ping than I’d like. With B-50 and same wool silencers it is very quiet.
