"Isn’t it hard to find blood in that stuff?" yes but they leave tracks a lot easier. find the right track and follow it. most of that is shallow water or mud. one of my leases getting like that after heavy rains and the river rises. tracks in that bottom mud dont fill in quickly. i've had several timber wading duck hunters tell me about seeing bucks walking around in knee/waist deep water eating floating acorns.
