To any of you that have a Black Swan bow. Have any of you tried to paint/cammo the bow? If so, how did it come out and/or work at all? Please, not looking for those on here that do not like Black Swan bows to bash, just asking about possible cammo options? Thanks.

Acrylic paint works good. Non glare finish, and thins with water till it dries.I do not own a Black Swan, but it has worked on others recurves ,and selfbows that i have made.Stays on good ,and if you need to remove it you can get it to come off pretty easy.

Check with Randy Hoffer and see if he thinks it'll hydro dip. I have a bow that he did and it turned out great.

They are nice, I had a 60# recurve a few years ago that I shot a way light arrow at 247 fps, it was a laser beam on a 3D course.

Whatever paint you use, read the directions for surface prep.

Here is some of Randy Hoffers Hydro-dip work. The pattern is Sitka Optifade Sub-Alpine.

I just use Rustoleum or Krylon spray paint. Rustoleum makes a Camouflage brand that is dull in color...4 colors. It's $3.96 a can at Walmart. If you get tired of it, it doesn't take much to get it off either. If you decide you're not going to keep the bow, getting the paint back off again may be a good thing when it comes to selling it.

Actually, Sitka doesn't license their pattern to be hydro dipped. And you can see the pattern on the bow above is different the the Sitka Sub Alpine. Google Hydro dip in Utah. Their work is unreal and they do a lot of dipping for some major companies. Their list of patterns is second to none.

I don't that that he has to, but due to his post I'd guess that maybe he wants to. That's the impression that I got anyway.
