BE CAREFUL ABOUT TRANSFER from one person to another. Some states are real picky about that kind of stuff!

I love them.

I like them too. The only ones I have see are dark grey. I don't know if the wings are different colors on other geese or not. Sure would like to find a supplier for them. I have gotten 3 dozen the last two years from a fellow LW'er >>>----> Ken

Have used them before, they're fragile...

Love them! Luckily I have friends who kill lots of Canadas.

Batman: Geese are under federal control, and there is no problem selling or trading them.

Use em all the time. Work good in choppers, burners or trim by hand. John

They are softer and maybe a tad noisier because of it. Flutter?? I haven't noticed a problem with durability & they do tend to shed water a little better. Just my experience with one kind.>>>---->Ken

Some of the best I've tried.

I have used them. They have more oil in them but they are not as tough as a good turkey primary.

From: Rik Davis

I use them as cock feathers with my natural barred turkey feathers. Would not mind using them for all the fletch except for the fact I love barred turkey feathers, especially the ones I get from hunters I know at no charge. I also get to use the wing bones for calls. In short, I love them and can't get enough of them.

The Brits used goose feathers for a few hundred years. They gave a lot of them to the French. Saxton Pope and Art Young used them. I should try them someday on wood shafts, out of a yew bow of course.

Yes they make great fletchs. I have to sort through what I cut out of my snow geese in 2016.

I've wondered about that Shawn. They do have amazing primary's.

I have often thought that too. As you know they are protected. HH How in the world can you stand the smell of a Buzzard roost. I mean every thing they eat is rotten Then the rotten is---Well you know. I knew a guy that had a pretty 20 acres. It had a little patch of tress on the back end surrounded by coastal Bermuda pasture. Buzzards took to roosting there. He said protected or not I am shooting up there each night until they relocate. Couldn't much blame him it was awful. Do you sterilize the feathers in any way.>>>----> Ken

I really like them.

"The Brits used goose feathers for a few hundred years. They gave a lot of them to the French."

LOL! I prefer buying them or at least receiving them more slowly..

I use them as the cock feather with my wild turkey feathers. Makes for a nice looking combo.

Not sure if buzzard feathers are legal. You may want to check on that one.

Correction to my earlier comment:

In 'Hunting with the Bow and Arrow', Saxton Pope writes that the best are turkey feathers so we won''t talk about any others. page 83.

OK, buzzards fall under a Raptor and Raptors are protected.

For those of you that do care about the law, the Raptor feathers are illegal to possess. Just trying to give everyone a heads up. Don't kill the messenger. Social media is another source used by law enforcement.
