I was shooting this little gem today. Its a fine bow and the green future wood makes it pop to eye. Anyone hunting with one of these this year?

A 1967 1/2 at 52 pounds is my go-to for hunting. And 3D. Pretty much for any kind of shooting.

I know many would disagree, however I believe the Green Bear Kodiak Hunter is the best looking bow Bear ever made. I love the short riser and long limbs. I don’t even own one but the 1st time I ever run across one I am buying it.

My first experience with a 45 pound two tone green Bear Kodiak was a very disturbing one. I had a chance to shoot a really nice 8 pointer with the 89 pound Hill Big 5 that i had recently received. I could shoot it pretty good, even though I had to work pretty hard to get it back. I was at a place called Brushy Creek, I watched the buck come from a long ways off. By the time he got to me I was wound up pretty tight. As I drew, I shifted my weight and snapped a stick under foot. The buck whirled towards me and I dumped the arrow over it back. The buck ran into a clump of woods about 80 yards away and I heard 'boing --thwack' a friendly fellow with a 45 pound Bear Kodiak Hunter put a Bear broadhead right through its lungs. Ran about 60 yards and went down.

I have two '71 or '72 Kodiak Hunters, 45# and 50#. No bow looks more like a bow should, and they shoot great.

I have a 67, 70, and 76, that are 43, 45 and 53 lbs, respectively. They are also lefties. The '67 is the first Bear I bought when I started collecting them several years ago. It has the high grip, which I didn't think I would like at first, but I shoot it very well now
I'll probably hunt with both the 67 and 76 this year. I let my nephew borrow the 70 a couple of years ago and now I can't get it back :-)

Not this year, but had good luck with one a few years back. They work just fine! I do prefer the '67-'69 models for their higher wrist and woods, but they all shoot well!

Have a 69 kh signed by Fred himself, great shooting bow. There's something about being in the woods on the prowl for animals with an old time bear bow.
