Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm knew here and new to traditional bow hunting. I have bow hunted for 22 years 21 with compounds and last year I traded a deer mount for a Bear recurve I shot the summer and took a doe and a small 6 point I was converted. Although I really enjoyed hunting with the recurve I felt like I was missing something well I found what I was missing in a longbow. I bought a Howard hill big five in 76#. Wow what a bow and matched with cedar arrows I love everything about bow hunting again.i feel like that 18 year old college student learning a new trade once again. Thanks for reading Joe d

Outstanding. I took a similar route and only have you by a couple years with traditional gear. I love it. Careful with those bows, they are addictive, ask my wife. Ha

I love my Black Widow recurves and hate long bows but if the long bow is what keeps you away from the dark side of gadget bows then all is well !!!!! Welcome to the passion of real bow hunting and congratulations on your rebirth!!!! ENJOY !!!!!

Oh Oh, I have shot a number of deer with a bow about that weight, welcome to the addiction. Only one longbow? I hope you have plans in the future to remedy that, there really is no need, but only one longbow? That is a rare thing.

HMM ever go through a wounding stage with compound? IF so maybe your yet to experience the real magnitude of agony of defeat?
Its all part of hunting and killing it happens. Sharp heads is the way shaving sharp.

Yep, welcome to the addiction. Watch all the you-tube videos out there and pick through the good and bad ones to learn to set up and shoot properly. Then if you really want to get into it, get yourself the Fred Bear Collection DVD and watch. Good luck!
