No full draw pics, the bow is 63# and a bit too much for me to draw

Nice bow. I’m sure the owner will cherish it. Lance

Beautiful bow! I’ve always liked that look and would really like to get one at some point soon.

Does the “SheepEater” name signify anything or is it just a cool name for a TRAD Bow?

How do they shoot? Accurate? Fast? I keep hearing about them but never seen one up close.

From: Stoner

Awesome at full draw, nice clean lines and love the static tips. John

LB..........

This bow is 52" and is very fast. With .003 taper in the limbs the bow draws smooth, the static tips stay open helping to eliminating finger pinch. All in all it is a nice little bow.

“The Sheepeater Indian War of 1879 was the last Indian war fought in the Pacific Northwest portion of the United States; it took place primarily in central Idaho. A band of approximately 300 Shoshone people, the Tukudeka, were known as the Sheepeaters because of their proficiency in hunting Rocky Mountain sheep.”

Jim and Holly Akenson lived and worked in the heart of Sheepeater country in Idaho. Their book “7003 Days in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness” is a fine read. Thought this would be good for those who are interested in learning about the people who inspired the form of your bow James.

Any body know where James V is ????????? Or how to get ahold of him???? about 6 years ago He invited me over to his house to build my first Glass bow, Cool guy. I brought a 58" Take Down Static Recurve Made by the same guy that made the Sheepeater for James to look at.I found this Thread by searching for the 50" sheepeater bow and I PM'ed him a few weeks back. The sheepeater bow is what got me interested in building bows so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
