Rainy day project. Just made up a half dozen old POC Ben Pearson arrows with fresh feathers for my old refurbished Ben Pearson Colt 707. Wish I had some old Dead Heads to complete the rig but some old Greenies will have to do. Makes me smile to bring this vintage stuff back to life.

Really cool to see those. It does bring back memories of those old arrows. Nice job!

Gives you a good feeling to put the vintage arrows with vintage bow, and use them.

Excellent job. What’s the weight on that bow?

Perfect set-up perfect weight. All my "hunting" bows fall between 42-50#'s at my draw.

Classic and classy setup. Well done.

Always liked those Colts. I think they have a lot of class.

A lot of guys in the 60s would have the shop remove the Deadheads and install Bear Razorheads.

Raghorn I have a half dozen like the above. That have the Deadheads on.

My last Michigan deer was taken with a 53' static Bear Kodiak and some 60's bear arrows. Good MoJo right there, don-cha-no. John

I killed my first deer, a one antlered spike, with a solid orange cedar arrow.

Those old nocks are more than likely brittle, cut them off and add new ones.

An old arrow I have from the 1960s. I don't know the manufacturer.

Be wary of old nocks. Nocks may need to be replaced. Jawge

That's a great picture Stoner. Great looking quiver, too. Did you make it?

From: RonG

Well two mentions of replacing those brittle nocks with no reply, I hope they replace them, I have had some no where near that old crumble when I strung them up.

Good advice Bob and Jawge

Your not wrong Wildhog.

Thanks for the heads up on the nocks fellows. It’s taken care of.

Great work as usual Mark. Good luck this season. I hate I didn't make it up to a shoot and see y'all this year.
