Looking for info and or pics of bows made with the glass and lam's sandwiched In between a two piece riser block. Pro's and con's. I have seen them before but can't remember who made them. Thanks

We did that a lot at Howatts. It let us strengthen the riser block while keeping stresses from radius bends away from the bow glass. Also let us play with takeoffs without problems.

Thanks Larry. What models are you referring to, would like to see pics of some. Thanks again.

A little clarification, I am not referring to accent strips sandwiched with glass, but the actual bow limb lam's and glass sandwiched by a two piece riser. Thanks again for the info.

Don't have any pictures, but the bows I shoot are made like that. The Howatt Venom and Bamboo Viper. The belly glass and 2 of the 3 bamboo lams run straight through the riser.

Hoyt PM s are built with the back glass running through the riser.

The new Java Man Impala is build that way as well. The pic on his site really shows that.

I like the concept but it makes the glue up a bit more tricky. I still do it sometimes.

arent those type bows just glueups with extended back and grip overlays? Do they add actual strength?
