Most of the vintage catalogs are still online. Go to www.benpearsonarchery.com - support - history, then page down to the old catalogs button. You can search thru and match it up with the year.

Dave, I'll bet you it is in the late 50's. I have a Safari that was made in 59 and it is a 66" #41@28 and it is a wonderful shooting bow. Wish I had one a little heavier, if I did I would hunt with it.

I bought a Palomino for its gorgeous wood and good looks. It is 66" and 45#. I was thinking target bow but the Ole girl will hunt just fine. pictures here--forget about it. >>>----. Ken

What color is the limb glass?

George, not sure who your question is directed to but mine is white. It does need camo tape or limb skins if there isn't lots of snow. :^) >>>----> Ken

Geo: I would call the limb glass maroon to really dark red. It's spotless, don't think the guy ever used it. Looked on the BP cat. site and the '62 catalogue cover looks like the wood.

That bow is built like a tank, very easy to look at, and smooth shooting.I have a 45lb. Buddy Watson Indian archery target bow that is built similar.Great bows for target shooting even by today,s standards.I have been shooting mine with a 10 strand b55 string. One of these days i am going to put a padded loop ff string on it, and see how that works.
