Hi PEOPLES. I tried a search for PARA BOWS but not sure if I came up with the right things? Seems that the PARA BOW was made by SHAKESPEARE (spelling) Archery? Also SEEMED to be an interesting design? Does anyone have any INFO? Especially PHOTOS? BLESSED BE!

Yep, made by Shakespeare. And IMO the best of all the solid glass bows.

It's one word Batman, Parabow. Shakespeare bought the company in 1959 and it became Shakespeare-Parabow. They made different levels of solid glass bows, the B1 and B2 were the "best" at the time.

Did they come in a 2 piece takedown? I remember my Dad had one in green glass, used to hunt deer with it. Looked a lot like those pictures.

I have a feeling that these bows will continue to surprise the bowhunter's who are willing to give them a try.

YO! PEOPLES! MERCY BOW-KOO on the photos. And other info. Since "Eyes dumb and doan gets out much"....What made these bows so popular and great that people keep them under lock and key? Was the design a once in a lifetime break-through?? Must have shot FANTASTIC??? MANY THANKS! BATMAN

They shot good Batman and tuff as boot leather. My father in law killed his deer with a BP all glass bow and said he saw no reason for anything else. Weather proof and nearly bomb proof. I really like that new grip Craig, looks good!

One I would like to find and I'm still looking for is a Ben Pearson T/D fiberglass bow in a hunting weight. The search continues...

Monkey and tonto59 you are bit by the glass bug.I just bought a 40 lb Stemmler off ebay. Nice archery history behind these bows ,and fun to shoot, and deadly bows in the right hands. If i live long enough i will gift my grandson,s with my glass bows ,and show them how a lot of us started archery back in the 50,s and 60,s. Monkey balls there are lower poundage fiberglass bows right now on ebay that are going cheap . There is one 35 lb. and a 38 lb. i think they are Pearson Jets 33 some thing series.

Is that actionglass dual shelf?

Craig, you can try sanding an area and see how it works out. It's a composite so I suspect you can reduce the mass on the belly side of the limbs, or even narrow them some. But I'm just speculating here...not 100% sure. I have done some sanding on one to make it more comfortable in the hand and it smoothed out very nice.

35# Parabow + 18 strand BCY-X & .600 arrow. Not a passthrough, but still a pretty devastating entrance wound on this soup can.
