Hello gents, finally made some time to go see Paul Jalon @ Elite Arrows. I had been graciously invited over to discuss with Paul what I was looking for and to get some ideas. Unfortunately, Paul's wife was due to go into surgery the next day, and Paul said he'd be tied up acting as his wife's caregiver for the next few months. After giving my best for the outcome they were hoping for, I sat down to ponder my next move. I've put together a few dz carbons with pretty good success. But wood arras are a different creature. I live in lower Mi and I'm looking for an arrowsmith I could meet with and contract to make some nice arrows. Any names come to mind? I'd be beyond fortunate to find someone as knowledgeable as Paul. Do they exist? Thx for your help. Steve

Lost Nation Archery is located in Sturgis, which is about 30 miles south of Kalamazoo. We would be happy to have you visit our shop or just call. We make wood arrows for hunting or target use.

Paul is one of the best. He makes tournament grade arrows.

I live in Eau Claire MI, I am not sure how close you are to my location. I can walk you through the equipment and materials that I use. I could save you quite a bit of trial and error regarding making your own.

Addictive Archery has very good videos on you tube.

If you just want to buy some finished arrows Larry at Lost Nation is someone I prefer to trade with. His method for tapering provides better results than most.
