Just thought I would share this. What I do is take a empty plastic nasal mist bottle. Then pry the top off it.And fill it with duck. The small hole in the bottle works great for applying the glue to feathers.Have a great day

That's a GREAT IDEA! I tend to get Duco all over the place, what with wearing bifocals and not knowing where to focus that dispenser tip! Thanks for posting, Thor!

Great idea, those glue tubes tend to crack after you bend and squeeze them several times. Then you have glue everywhere and end up wasting a lot of it. I will definitely give this a try.

I think 3 Rivers sells a small plastic bottle with a needle point applicator. You could squeeze the Duco into that. I agree the factory tube is not great for fletching jobs. I have had the cap split and ruin the tube of glue too.

I got the same bottle from a craft store. Only issue I have is the unused glue in the bottle will get stiff. Something that doesn’t happen in the tube.

I do this. Cut off the tip and add an old dispenser tip from brand x.

That works but super glue comes in bottles like that. It is clean and fast. >>>>-----> Ken

The problem with the plastic bottles is their volume. After squeezing in a tube of glue, there is still a lot of air in them. Makes the glue dry up.

I buy Testors tips from hobby lobby. They are a press fit onto the Duco tubes. Five for a couple bucks. When you are done, remove the tip and push the end of a paper clip end through it.

For more than 20 years I have had no trouble at all using Duco straight from the tube. I don't have any trouble using the gas pedal in my van either.

I forgot that photo has the cap in place. Glue flow is really slow that way. 8-)

I hold the Duco tube upright and squeeze the tube at the bottom to force air out. When the glue starts to expose at the tip, I stop squeezing the tube and screw on the cap. Always first squeeze out the air whenever you use it and then it will only dispense when you squeeze the tube. No tips needed, not even the Testors tips.

I like the glue bottles from Hobby Lobby but they get brittle and break after a few years. Lately I have been applying glue straight from the tube with no issues.
The plastic glue bottles are dirt cheap on ebay, 5 for less than $2. One small Bohning glue bottle is over $7, a rip off in my opinion.

I got this idea from someone here on this site. Put a hole in the Ducco lid with a push pin. Apply the glue through the hole in the cap. Easy to control. When you are through use the push pin to seal the tube.
