Got out an old foam target for a couple of shots this AM, probably been 10 years since I used it last, heard a "tink" and when I pulled out my arrow I'd hit a field point that had pulled off a wood shaft, what are the odds? Ha Ha.

That’s pretty odd! A Robin Hood of sorts. Cool. Now you can stop wondering what happened to that old field point!! Hahaha

Did about the same thing one time - my arrow came back out of the target about 1/3 longer than it had gone in! One of my little helpers had snapped off an aluminum shaft some years before and eventually I managed to find it....
One of those “shoulda boughtta lottery ticket instead” days.... ;)

I have done this a couple times. Once I shot the arrow two or three times without noticing. That tells you what a crappy shot I am. My groups are so big an arrow with an extra 125grns wasn’t noticeable.

Call it a Robin Hood for sure. Truth is most don't notice a 50 gr + change in weight. We just like to make things perfect to eliminate all excuses. :^) >>>----> Ken

I was shooting into a foam block with my broadheads and heard a clink, the broadhead had split the target point just about in half. This was from a 41# longbow.

Odds?
Not as rare as you might think. Consider this, everyone is trying for the same mark, and anything left behind is part of that mark.

I love finding stuff I've found old rusted broadheads, and arrows in the woods You always would like to hear the story behind it.
Years ago my cousin missed a deer and couldnt find the arrow. Months later while walking the field line during gun season I looked down and saw the arrow slightly under grass. The crazy thing was it want that close to where he shot so we are thinking it hit a tree and went wild.
