Hi ya'll, I just registered for the wall. I have not made a bow in many years, because I don't have a place to work on one. I have made a couple of selfbows, and several bows for kids. They were just strips of hickory and a handle/riser of yellow pine. The kids loved them! I would like to make a laminated double recurve bow, something that resembles an eastern horsebow. I have a strip of hickory 1/4 by2" by 6' and some bamboo that I harvested myself. I want the hickory in the center and the bamboo for the back and belly. I want to get a piece of walnut for the riser. Can someone give me some tips on how to tiller and bend the wood and bamboo before the glue up? Thanks in advance for any advice you may have. Please reply to. [email protected]. Thanks again,L8R ya'll Beau
