I bought this bow from a Waller. She was a good one, and I have tipped over many critters with her in my hand. I’ve taken her to Texas, Maryland, almost Canada. And I’ve enjoyed countless hours shooting and hunting with this bow. Today, without warning, as I drew for the fifth time in a row- POW!!!! It sounded like a dry fire but I was still holding the string. Not a good sound to hear- not a good thing to see. There’s no fixing this one. Time to find a replacement.

well one of those Georgia swamp hogs may have sneaked in and cracked it? Self preservation?

Dendy, got a true 53 static grizzly that done something similar. Wall hanger now...From one Ga boy to another I feel your pain.

Ouch, I know this pain.

Life of a bow. I know you have more but I bet a trip to Big Jim's is coming.

She's had a good life. Glue it back down and hang it on the wall for memories. Just make sure folks know not to draw it. I'd make it a wall hanger though.

Glad your OK.

So sorry for your loss. That stinks

Now it's a bow to look at. Yep, it sucks when it happens, but it does happen now and again. An honorable retirement for sure.

That's a sad sight Dendy. I hope it's not that Martin I sent you. Steve

Agreeing with the above brother. That STINKS.. :( As I read this I cam to the realization that I am without a Bear Grizzly currently. That is almost unheard of here. What's the next go-to going to be? AND I thought you were a longbow guy who shot woods, that aint a longbow and I'm mostly sure the arrow peaking out the side is aluminum. :D

Sorry about the bow. You are not hurt that is good. Use it for a wall hanger and take your favorite Martin bow to the woods and make more memories with that one! Good luck to ya!

Steve- Nope, I got that bow from Jim Reed, I believe, several years ago- the one I got from you is just fine and gets shot a lot. Bones- I do love wood, but I shoot a little bit of it all. Summertime is pig time and I get a lot better penetration with a 2016 with 175gr. in the nose. I shoot ALOT of armadillos too and they are rough on my wood arrows- especially when they get skewered and try to get back in their hole-
