Came across some old Bear arrows that I bought that were new in the box. I put new fletching on them and am going to try to match them up with a old Bear bow this year. I know that they were a collectors item but would like to try to take a deer with a 50 year old Bear arrow out of a 50 year old Bear bow, give or take a few years. Even found some of the bleeder blades in the box. The glue on the fletching was all dried out.

Took a few shots with a old Bear Black Bear and they flew great. Rather use them instead of putting them back in my old chest.

That should make for a great story behind the hunt! My favorite hunts are not always the same as my biggest bucks. In my mind, it is more about the experience and story behind the hunt. It always make for a better dinner when you are eating what you took. (It doesn't hurt the story of it happened to be a monster buck). Keep us posted on "the 50 year old setup hunt" that you are going to experience this year!

Don't be sorry. They were made for hunting. Personally I would rather see them in use than on a wall.

I always thought it would be nice to take a game animal with a Bear arrow, Bear Razorhead, shot from a Bear bow with a Bear quiver. Can you tell I'm a Bear fan? Good luck to you!

Same arrows I shoot. They were new in box when I got mine too. Did the exact same thing. REfletched and theyve been flying great since! 6 on left. HAve another 8 with razors on them inthe rack. I did stat true to the fletching colors, though I put shield cut on...

they fly pretty good....same arrows in green...these are original fletching. Thought I was gong to hat them, but honestly, the easiest color I've found yet to find in the woods!

There are very few arrows that I would use as a 'collect only' thing, and they would have to be very old and known (with provenance) to be used by one of our pioneers. Other than that it makes no sense to just look at arrows. Use them and they will be happy. ;)

I don't really collect arrows but I do have a few old ones laying around like these 1970s Bear arrows that are in great condition. I wouldn't hesitate to use them if I didn't like shoot arrows that I built myself.

Good luck with those old arrows. They were made to be shot especially out of an old Bear.

Not a bow or arrow I own that I won't take out and shoot, including a Na-Po that belonged to Roy Hoff and a 1953 Howatt Mamba...that's what they were made for.

I do that all the time.....old Bear bow ,old Bear arrows, old Bear Razorheads, and usually use an old Bear bow quiver. Course nearly ALL of my archery equipment is OLD Bear!

I agree with what everyone has said....use them how they were intended to be used and go kill something with 'em!
