Finally got Sitka 46... and found out that it's same poundage as my Model Perfection.

I didn't plan it that way, but hey, I'm not complaining!

stacked them on top of each other at the fades... and found that limb profile is slightly different.

same length string at 40".. yet limbs are pulled back further on model perfection. nock-ends are more reflexed as well on model perfection(unstrung)...so more tension being created in the bow when braced compared to Sitka?

Ted those look familiar! Looks like the Perfection is #13 from April of 1974, and the Sitka is #8 from Sept of 1968. Mine are 57# (Perfection) and 58# (Sitka). I hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine, although the draw wt is working against me now. I know you’ve looked a long time for that Sitka, congratulations. Lance

Left: model perection, Right: Sitka

Sitka is NOT made to be shot off the shelf... I guess I won't be able to use this bow in some competitions. good thing I'm not a competitor! :)

slightly bigger sight window in Model P.

...slight vertical crack on glass for Sitka model. I've shot about 200 arrows through Sitka. so far it is holding.

sitka was made in '68 and model p in '74 if I'm reading the s/n correctly.

... I was surprised to see the "evolution(?)" or slight adjustment in limb profile between these two models.

...personally, comparing these two bows, I like Sitka waay better than model perfection.

the MASS weight of the riser definitely makes a difference, and for me, Sitka is lots quieter! shooting same arrows.

Hey Lance!

yep. I had to pass up opportunity to get several sitkas' since I started looking for them... even the one's that you gave me heads up for....

I was really bummed then.

But I finally scored! :)

I'm pretty happy! bonus too that they are identical in poundage (as listed, anyway).

Drop some Loctite 420 into that crack and keep shooting. I’ll get mine out of the vault for FS tomorrow! Lance
