The condition of my britches will not be discussed!

Good your okay. I know your pain, just had 3 horsebows (laminated fiberglass) break on me in one month recently. Thought it was me but reading some threads shows not uncommon, rare, but not uncommon.

Bowyer don’t want to believe it but it’s not always due to operator error. Some bows just give out. One bow was 3 1/2 years old and another from a different bowyer only lasted 20 shots from brand new.

Glad you're not hurt, but that really sux. The bright side is that it's a good/perfect reason to buy a new bow. I like E. OCR's point though...food for thought.

Good point, Pat. Fiberglass lams make it easier and quicker to make a wide range of bow designs, but it has limits too and isn't always the best choice for all varieties.

In some designs it's makes them almost 'bomb proof', in others it makes them bomb-like... and there's a whole spectrum in between.

One look at that profile and nobody should be surprised.

I would contact Lukas and tell him what happened. He’s a stand-up guy. I sent back a Sythian I messed up. He fixed it and tried to give me another bow bc it happened. I respect that kind of integrity. I paid him for some of that second bow anyway. It was my fault, not his. Call him.

I bought this bow used and not directly from Saluki, so I'm just cutting my losses and happy I didn't get hurt.

OK, I get that, but Lukas is an artist in more ways than one. He might give you a great deal on something he has in his shop. I would call just tell him what happened. Ask him if it’s something he could fix. You never know.

sorry about that. at least you came out OK. Bows are replaceable, eyes not so much

May I ask what your draw length is? Those bows take a lot of bending but the picture suggest a long draw length. Just curious. >>>----> Ken

Lukas might still be interested- stand up guy, cares about his product, his customers, (even if you're not the original) and his rep.

Was this very high draw wt? I've seen your other posts! Draw length issue possible? Or, just one of those things. Have had it happen to me too, high end, low end, and middle of the road bows alike.

I posted earlier about one of my bows breaking after about 20 shots.

Update: got my replacement bow today AND they sent me another bow (different model) also. WOW talk about wanting to make sure the customer is happy. Wasn’t expecting that at all.

The company is Jackal Archery in Hungary. Only mention it because they deserve recognition for going above and beyond expectations.

Oh and by the way, the bows are awesome shooters!

Bow is 73 lbs at 28" with a 30" max draw. I was drawing close to 30 so that may have been part of it.

That is Crazy awesome customer service!

Maybe they have a lifetime guarantee. Glad you were not hurt
