If you do not shoot the courses, but only the vendors or practice range, do you need to pay the regular shooters fee?

From: Shortdraw
Date: 06-Jul-18

There is a minimal "spectator" fee. You can shop, kick the tires on new bows, check out the swap meet, eat if you like (not free). Well worth it in my opinion. Scott <')))><

you have to tell them at the gate, that you want to be a spectator, if I remember right the cost was around $10-15 per person and daily....

Well when you can no linger walk the ranges, what makes Denton worth the fees.

well, you can always talk to BigJim for 4 days. to me that's not a bad day, at all.

From: George D. Stout Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

I normally only shoot one course or maybe two just one time. There is plenty of things to do and look at if you just want to browse and talk. You can meet some neat folks as well and maybe learn a few things. Talk to the bowyers and other vendors. You don't need to shoot ever to have a good time there. If not, I don't know what you personally require. $8.00 for the entire day seems pretty fair to me.

From: mahantango

I actually prefer not to shoot the courses there anymore. Been there, done that for many years. I'd rather shop the vendors, demo bows, visit old friends and cruise the swap meet. Eight bucks is a bargain, the shooting and camping fees, not so much.

He is tighter than bark on a tree George. :)

He is pretty heavy too. I wouldn't want to strap him on my back.

Hay Doc I learned being tight from you, and you are still the King of tight. Scott the diet supplement your company makes is a major problem for all.

From: Red Beastmaster

My wife and I only shoot the target range at the lodge. We can shoot dozens of arrows at multiple targets then take a break to visit friends or browse the vendors.

Yes, you must pay the shooting fee. It's a bargain.

Barry Wensel will give a seminar, which is another activity you can participate in beyond the multiple shooting ranges. We will also be available in the vendors tents to continue the conversations and story telling. MIke

Tom Phillips tent will be my hangout. Always a good spot to shoot the bull.

From: David Mitchell

Mountain Man, you can camp right there on the grounds but it gets real crowded and it helps if you can get there a couple of days early at least. When I camped there at the shoot I usually went by Wednesday at least--some folks will set up the week end before the shoot.

Babysaph, the lift is working the same as it has been for the last few years. You can bring your dog if your handler is young and good looking, wearing a low cut top and high cut shorts. bvd

To all who are attending this year stop at the vendor table Ill be sharing with Bob Eberly in the big tent. A handshake and some conversation, meeting new people and just talking archery means a lot to me. This is one of the reasons I like attending. All year long I look forward to this, to be around people who enjoy this archery!SM

Widow Sax,

Did you give into the peer pressure to keep up with the Jones and the Frickers? LOL. You will love the travel trailer. We cant stay for 10 days, so we have a spot reserved up the hill at the Potter County Campground. See you next week.
